Belt Drive?? I think the Direct Drive washers are better made and they are easier to work on. Lots of parts still around for them as well

    Miele Dryer Bulb

130volt bulbs I use 130v bulbs at home all the time. They are slightly dimmer than their 120v counterparts, but they last so much longer. The only place I have ever found them is at a Lighting Store/Center. They are not available in grocery stores, Walmarts or Lowes or Home Depot-- at least...

    Which New Refrigerator?

Hated My French Door I had a French Door KitchenAid that I kept 2 years-- hated that thing. That freezer on the bottom is a pain in the butt. I was smart enough to get one that had the ice maker in the bottom freezer. I have a KitchenAid S x S (I think the counterpart to Yogitunes Whirlpool...

    New or Refurbished Transmission (Gearcase)

I have a question and I'm sure you guys have a better idea about this than I do. I'm going to get a transmission for my Direct Drive KitchenAid washer and hope it stops that loud clunking-- It's not hurting anything, but I'm tired of listening to it. I know some of you say its normal, but my...

Grease covering brand new Speed Queen washing machine tub.

Quality Control issues with timers too Speed Queen quality control when it comes to timers has already slipped. Of course I'm sure they buy them from a vendor. I'm hesitant to buy another Speed Queen myself. I was lucky that my dealer took mine back and refunded my money. After replacing...

You can adjust the water level You can adjust the Water Pressure fill switch and put the water level back up to the top of the wash basket. There is a video on you tube that shows you how to do it. SQ had to lower the water level when they send it out from the factory to be in compliance with...

    Help purchasing new dishwasher

Kitchen Aid I have a KitchenAid and have had several and never had any problems with them. My current machine is 2 yrs old and has the standard 4-arm spray. I always keep it full of Jet Dry and I use plain Cascade and have never had problems with white film or anything left on my glassware.

Kitchen Aid DD Washer clunking noise only during agitation

Hi WK78. I did check the bolts just to be sure and they are tight. I'm not worried about the washer anymore. I love it and plan on using it until it is completely worn out- and that shouldn't happen for a long time as long as parts are available.

    Which New Refrigerator?

I like KitchenAid I have a new KitchenAid Side by Side Stainless that I bought in Nov 2012 and I love it. It was only $100 more than its Whirlpool counterpart and has a few nicer features (LED Theatre lighting) and a better warranty. Its very easy to keep clean with Weissman Stainless Steel...

Allen, The fabric softener dispenser is snapped into the agitator good and tight. The agitator dogs work properly as well.

Kitchen Aid DD Washer clunking noise only during agitation

Oil Drops When I moved the washer to inspect the transmission bolts, I noticed several drops on oil on the floor-- I'm thinking that is a dead giveaway that the transmission needs replacing or will before long. Actually it was easy removing the hoses and laying the washer on it's back. The...

Kitchen Aid DD Washer clunking noise only during agitation

not yet Combo52-- I haven't looked at them yet. Is that something I can do without assistance? I was thinking I might need someone to hold the washer while I looked at the bolts or could I lean it back and hold it with my body. Of course I guess I could take all the hoses off and lay it on...

Kitchen Aid DD Washer clunking noise only during agitation

You are correct DADoES. You are correct. That is exactly what this machine does. You can hear those different Spin Speeds when its on the appropriate cycle. I really like the machine and I hope it lasts me a long time. I plan on repairing it as long as I can.

Kitchen Aid DD Washer clunking noise only during agitation

That's interesting So I guess I have a washer with a 3 speed motor than only uses the Middle and slower speeds. It never washes any faster than in the video, even if you put it on Soak or Extra Wash. I assume that is normal for this machine (KAWS750LQ0). I had a 2007 Maytag Centennial...

Kitchen Aid DD Washer clunking noise only during agitation

Tried it-- still clunks Malcolm, I tried your suggestion- no change. I'm just going to let it clunk away and replace the transmission when it wears out. I love the machine- it has a huge capacity and cleans well.

KA Superba washer and dryer in Mpls

I wish they were in Huntsville, AL I'd gladly pay $400-- I'd pay $600. Those are TOL machines in great shape. My mother loves hers and the only thing she has had repaired is the lid switch on the washer. I think she paid around $1100 for the set when they were new in 2001.

Kitchen Aid DD Washer clunking noise only during agitation

KitchenAid Washers To my knowledge, Whirlpool is the only company that ever made KitchenAid Washing Machines. I think when Hobart Corp owned the KithenAid Brand/Trademark the only appliances they manufactured were commercial equipment and residential dishwashers and their famous stand mixer...

Kitchen Aid DD Washer clunking noise only during agitation

Its High High Yes-- It is on the High Agitation/High Spin Speed selection Regular wash cycle. It does have a Low and Ultra Low Agitation as well. My main concern is that nothing was being damaged- and I understand everything is fine. I plan on using this machine a long time--- as long as I...
