    Hamilton Dryer

I found one Re-badged into a Frigidaire---- in much worst cosmetic appearance. When I looked inside----- it appeared to hardly have been used at all!

Frigidaire SDJ Automatic Spin Dryer made 1969

Hey Mike, those are so cool. Too bad none to be had here in the US. I would love to have one. I use a Unimatic as an extractor with regularity. Best wishes to you and yours in the New Year!

That 1970 "Deuce" in the background looks pretty clean, too! What a great set. That is a wonderful find!

    Any Herring affectionados out there?

My family thought herring was the breakfast of champions. They would eat it any way it was, plain, pickled, cream sauce, wine sauce, etc. That and a slice of red onion on a fresh toasted poppy-seed bagel was heaven on earth to them. I thought it was cat food. Pass the corn flakes, please.

A few tablespoons of corn syrup should be enough to eliminate the crystallizing issue.

Jerry is right---- My '55 Kenmore has a fill period anywhere from 20 down to 10 minutes----then agitation begins. So no matter what the water level you could get 10 minutes of wash time.

    What foods do you DESPISE!

P'tcha. Miracle whip. Anything strange from the sea or land. Nothing with no legs other than fish. Nothing with more than four legs. Nobody's goat. No venison. Nothing that once squealed. Tongue. Raw fish or meat. Viscera other than liver. Undercooked vegetables. Grape Nuts cereal.[this post...

Comical description of Damp Dry as a "safe" 500 rpm. Safe compared to what? Safe why? Is 510 rpm "unsafe"? Westinghouse Washand Dry would be "very safe" I suppose. Not a bad machine for a one-dial -wonder.

Why was the Maytag Neptune a flub?

I know three different sets of people who bought first generation Neptune's who are still using them. One set is extremely high-mileage. Early on they were all contacted by Maytag who came by and made a warranty service to replace the door-gasket. Otherwise, none of these people plan on...

The 1968 Frigidaire that married a 1962 Frigidaire agitator

The Jetcone performs better with the machine fully loaded or slightly overloaded. Unless, the items are something such as permanent-press sheets with a blend of polyester. Then the Jetcone proceedes to pump them up with air and they spend the whole cycle billowed-up and stationary for the most...

1956 Westinghouse Laundromat Washer "I need a pump"

A GE electric pump harvested from an old machine gave life to my Kelvinator. Maybe you will find some parts house with some obscure and dusty shelves of NOS. But, the people who answer the phone will need to be old. I was in Fox's Agusta,Ga. Warehouse many years ago and there were shelves full...

Contact "sfh074" Bud is working on all kinds of old Frigidaire stuff.

    Where and Who Is Gsohoover?

Any Cookie Curators to discuss extinct Stella D'oros of yore?

The big fish swallow up the little ones and you never see those products again. Keebler did make Coconut Chocolate Drop cookies which I thought were great for store bought, and have since discontinued them, of course. At least they still make the Danish Wedding cookies for FIVE dollars a box...
