These things were tanks. They gave many years of good service and have very aggressive agitation. It will clean those Carhartts. A zillion of these machines went into new condominium and apartment complex's along with their matching bretheren, not to mention the ones for home installation.

Congratulations! I have a harvest gold 806 and it can do anything short of dry cleaning. I have said for years that if you have an 806 you can wash anything. I'm sure you will get many years of clean laundry out of it.

I agree. Very good machines and are really good at filtering pet fur. I do not like the 1965 vintage straight vane agitator. Later ones were much better. The spiral agitator will always be my favorite GE.

I have used all those types of machines many times over the years. Those old TL's were very good washers and very aggressive. Like many others of the era they tended to sudz-lock. Dan------- I am constantly surprised how many WO's and WO-65-2's show up! They seem to be great survivors and over the years I have found a half-dozen------NONE with bad Torque-Springs! I think the users could not figure out how to load them and got so sick of the tangling they shoved them...

Test it out first! If it wants to spin while pulsating in the wash or rinse cycle you are going to need a (hard to find) Torque-Spring or you will be dead in the water. Also make sure she is "sea-worthy" because split bellows can lead to a lot of trouble in the mechanism. Whomever has these...
