1980 Sears mobile home packaged green air-conditioner

The new Heil This is the new one. A Heil 3.5 ton packaged air-conditioner. Installed in May of 2007. Very similar to the old green one. It's taller and shorter in length than the old one was. The pieces of plywood behind the unit was used as a temporary covering, until they could return to...

1980 Sears mobile home packaged green air-conditioner

Brent, I don't think they offered gas versions on those, however I could be wrong. Yes, this lasted a very long time. If the compressor had an hour meter on it, it would probably have registered 50,000 or more hours. LOL A well-built machine, and I hated to see it go, but it had done it's time...

    GE Filter Flo Age Question

Reconsidered Tim, You're right. After I posted that, I got to thinking that it's probably too much, the $250. It does look pretty plain with no knobs in the middle. Somebody will probably buy it. They should lower their price to no more than $150 like you said, that's plenty. Andy

1980 Sears mobile home packaged green air-conditioner

Our old 1980 packaged air-conditioner from Sears. It was still running in 2007 when it was replaced. A very good unit!! It seems like these were so popular back in the late 1970's and throughout the 1980's when Sears was selling these units. I remember going into Sears and seeing these sitting...

It's not really an appliance, but I thought I'd share......

It's not really an appliance, but I thought I'd share......

For the gameshow lovers. A genuine Sony ECM-51 telescopic microphone, used by Gene Rayburn and Bob Barker and other hosts in the 1970's and 80's. As far as I know, this wasn't used on a gameshow, I bought it from a recording studio. It's not a replica, and not a reproduction mic, it's the real...

1973 Wayne Pedestal Sump Pump Manual

The old pump rotted away a few years ago, but I still have the old manual for it. Was bought in 1973 for $38.50. Model SPV-500 Wayne cast iron or bronze sump pump with American made Century electric motor 1/3hp heavy duty. Lasted 24 years. The new ones aren't as good. The Century motors from...

Clairol Son Of A Gun Hairdryer

Well son of a gun...... Here's my original Clairol Son Of A Gun with a brand new one and it's box. When my old one finally does bite the dust, I have a new one to go another 25 plus years, hopefully!

Clairol Son Of A Gun Hairdryer

How about the 1970's or 1980's Clairol Son Of A Gun hairdryer? The first picture is my original hairdryer, I still use it today, and it's approaching probably 25 to 30 years old, and shows no signs of stopping! It's a real son of a gun! Does anybody else have one of these?

    GE Filter Flo Age Question

A Keeper If I lived in Kentucky, I'd buy that in a heartbeat! I'd rather give $250 for a 25 to 30 year old machine, versus giving $1,000 for a new one with horrible quality. If they only knew what they were doing by getting rid of that!

    LG Waveforce Top Loader

Does anybody own one of the LG Waveforce top loading washers, or know of somebody that does? I've seen some Youtube clips of it, in action, and it looks like a pretty neat machine. I've also read some great reviews about it, and I do know that LG makes some pretty good products. I've read a...

Should I Take Action And Offer To Take It Off Of Their Hands?

Taking A Chance... Thanks guys! I'll ask them and take a risk. I might get lucky and get it for free, too! Won't know unless I try. If I do happen to get ahold of it, I'll post photos of it. I'll keep you posted! :) Andy

Should I Take Action And Offer To Take It Off Of Their Hands?

I have a question to ask, might be a pretty silly one, but I'll go ahead and ask, anyways. First, I will explain the situation as best as I can. There's an old GE filter-flo washing machine in a large house not too far from me. I know it's there, because I used to work for the people, mowing...

    GE Filter Flo Age Question

Tim, They look like they are late 1970's or early 1980's models. I can't really remember the exact year of my mom's GE filter-flo washer, but I think her's was a 1981, and her's had 3 toggle switches on the left. Hope this helps! Andy

I have what I think is a Mini Basket available for sale

I would think it would fit any filter-flo that has the straight vane agitator. Ours was identical to this. Wish we had it back!

    GE Hydrowave FAIL!

Stick with vintage I'm not much of a fan of this modern technology of today. I have seen quite a lot of people have trouble with the new washing machines, and only getting around 5 years out of them these days. Stick with the vintage equipment for as long as you can. I think it's great that...

    Sunday is Washday!

Nice equipment there, Tim! Loved the Filter-Flo GE's! They were awesome machines, and I would love to see them revive this design again.

    GE Filter-Flo Fans

Hey guys, if you liked the filter-flo design of the older GE toploader washing machines, and would like to see that design brought back into style, I have an idea, and I will leave it up to you, if you would like to participate. I recommend going to GE Appliances on Facebook, uploading your...

    GE 1972 Appliances Catalogue Scan!!!

Brings back memories Those are some really awesome scans! I'd love to see them bring back the filter-flo and mini basket in the GE washers. Unfortunately, it probably won't ever happen. I don't know though, they say that everything comes back, eventually.
