ESSEX GOING BACK TO MY ROOTS

Magnificent Hi Gary, I'm also the eager type, rushing into it then learning from your mistakes along the way. The early Keymatic's were in someway's far out relations to cars and the likes by having a clutch. Make sure your load will be a balanced one as these machines are known for jumping...

    Welcome to the Laundry Shed!

Hi all, Thanks alot for the comments! Paul: If only one could be found... Mike: The socket that the reel is plugged into, comes directly of the RCD. The reel is completely un-coiled, fortunately reachining the handy position it is in. James.

    Welcome to the Laundry Shed!

Thank's Paul, I forgot to mention that there are two sliding panels concealing the area under the sink, you can see the panels on the very left of the picture. James.

    Welcome to the Laundry Shed!

A view of the plumbing. The first expansion to the system will be an additional hoze to fit to an automatic via Hozelock whenever that will be. That's it, James.

    Welcome to the Laundry Shed!

Hi all, This is what I've been at during my break, securing a nice, dry, wooden shed at Gran's for my washer collection. I've plumbed it up to the nearest outdoor water tap on the farm and it has working taps at the sink (I found it lying around and assembled it here LOL) both give out a decent...

Look what came home with me from Manchester

Congratulations!!! Hi Lee, Congratulations on getting your Hotpoint "Libby" De Luxe! Thank's for the pic's of that rare enamel inner drum. I had an inkling that there would be a different design at the back of it to the later classic stainless steel ones. The motors in all of the Hotpoint...

ESSEX GOING BACK TO MY ROOTS

Gary... I'll ask mum if I can put the ad's up again. So far I have the local electrical shop I'm friendly with on the look out, an ad in Freecycle, and an ad in the local free ad's paper again soon. The trouble with the free ad's paper is that I have to keep ringing in every two weeks to keep...

ESSEX GOING BACK TO MY ROOTS

Lucky you! I'm just back from a short break from washing machines. Looks like the first 3203 found wasn't the last one surviving. Congratulations and enjoy it as she looks to be in good nick. During my break I was organizing my own storage space which will be revealed this weekend. Paul, I'm...

When you started collecting? If you started young (like me) did you have much bother with your parents and did you travel far to get your first pieces? I need answers because I'm having a spot of bother. James.

Wow Hi Justin, Haven't got to view the clip yet but I wish to mention that whoever gets this is one lucky person. I also envy them too LOL. 2 requests though, can you take a picture of the enamel inner drum as I'm curious what the back of it looks like and can you take a video of the complete...

Purple Hotpoint Liberator... is it this one?

Our beloved "Libby" has arrived! I'm speechless! I take it this is the one from Manchester? Is she working? The motor will sound interesting... Now only that we have at least one of the 2nd gen Hotpoint FL's have been found maybe our "Holy Grail" 1600/1830 will pop up by surprise. I hope I can...

    hotpoint liberator de luxe

Please share with us some pictures of this wonderful and hard to find machine! I'd love to buy it off you but the problem for me is that I live in Ireland and I'm up against people who would have more money for their hobby. James.
