I decided to tackle installing the 30" Flair I've been sitting on for a year... It will be a nice match for my '64 Frigidaire. Glad I decided to take it apart, as I found a few safety issues (like a wire nut where the plastic insulator is long gone)!
Anyway, I'm wondering if the oven "box" can...
Microwave Range
Yes it does (so I am told) but she says it's "slow".
And yes, I told her that I'll buy any of that stuff when she gets her Chinese stainless disposable kitchen.
I thought some of you might enjoy seeing these products in action during Thanksgiving. They're all owned by my aunt who has no use sentimental attachment; it's just that they've continued to work. She's been pressing my uncle for a new kitchen for at least 20-years. About 5-years ago, the...
As mentioned, I'd bet 50-percent of the homes around here have upstairs and downstairs kitchens. Christmas parties, hot-weather, canning, etc. This house's basement was undoubtedly finished in the 60s, and very well done (unlike many of them).
I might add that the ol' Zenith Hi-Fi was cranking out the German Christmas Jams when I went into the basement (location of the kitchen in the pictures). Guy running the sale pulled the record off right as I took the picture.
Stopped by this house today on my way home from work. Lots of items I think others here might want... I'm trying not to take anything else on after my recent console TV adventure.
Address is 22350 Barton, 48081
Rust Treatment
I also enjoyed the story.
I noticed POR-15 mentioned and thought I might offer the suggestion of a product called "Rust Bullet" instead. I've seen rust re-occur under POR and have also seen it peel off in sheets (my own applications).
On the contrary, I have used Rust Bullet...
Long story short, I traded another member on this site some old-timey TV stuff. This became feasible when I flew to Orlando for a vacation, bought a minivan, and drove back to Michigan.

I hope it's OK if I cross-post from Audiokarma... Don't...
I don't think this guy gets it... From his review, which did not mention Burger Chef:
"They just re opened and I will say they did a great job remodeling. Very nice modern interior."
Lol
Yup, same as mine. I paid $35 because no one wanted to carry this heavyweight monster out of the basement! From the home of a GM engineer, literally walking distance from my own.
The one in the ad is missing a shelf, and one of the door shelves is missing the "bar" to keep the items from...
Yes PhilR, that's the one. I'd even be tempted to get it and hold it for a good home, but the guy said "no help moving" and I don't have anyone capable of assisting getting it in my truck.
I think "flagged for removal" might have been because it was in the FREE section, but he still mentioned $100 in the headline.
The photo was definately not WCI era. It was the type with "speedometer" looking indicators for the heat settings. Probably early 60s?
Either way, I hate the idea of...
40" Fridgidaire range. A looker!
Hurry before the scrap gypsies get it first!

If it were me I'd text the guy and offer him a few bucks to hold it till I could get there. Looks like he wanted $100 at one time...
Since there is so much talk of Brit shows...
This might be the ideal time to mention something I noticed on Coronation Street... A Very American-looking TL in the breakroom area at the Underworld knickers factory. Anyone else ever notice/mention this?
cabinets
He did have the cabinets, but mentioned a buyer. To me the cabinets looked pretty bleah. Nothing-special, dark builders-grade circa 1969. The kind that always shoot the springs out of the hinges.
