A small collection of Canadian stoves (Vancouver, BC)

Names of Canadian vintage range collection Well the yellow one is a Frigidaire, I will guess the other two small ones are likely Moffat-Moffat used the Synchrotron controls on some of their ranges. The large wide spread cooktop range is a McClary-the GSW shield (General Steel Wares) is visible...

suburbanmd, I'm a little green with envy Being green is a good thing, right? Please, we need reports of your experience with your new Asko PRO washer, bigger capacity, Asko temp & rinse choices, SS inner and outer tubs, of course quality does cost, hence my envy.

Brand New in Crate Vintage Hobart made Kitchen Aid Dishwasher Superba KDS-20

Heaviest DW in the industry Did you all notice this in the spec sheet photo? ...with all this quality 125 POUNDS! I know they had a nice thick porcelain tub coating but I guess the Rolls-Royce of DW's used heavy gauge steel just like a Rolls as well. Ajer72, enjoy your brand new machine.

Speed Queen AWNE92SP113TW01 Impressions(Sorry Long Post)

Pulling the plug Louis, great point pulling the the plug to extend the soak period, and reminds me to restate F&P's user instruction to pull the plug when not using the washer, from our GWL11's manual. I presume to safeguard the electronic controls, and I also have a plug-in surge suppressor...

Vintage Orange Working Frigidaire Refrigerator Stove GM Crown 170 - $300

Pristine Frigidaire Electri-clean Wow, absolutely clean everywhere, no smoke trail on the oven outer face frame or door, presumably the self clean works AND it has been lovingly and fastidiously maintained. Looks brand new and won't need replacing in three years nor an anti-tip bracket! Yes...

Bosch Dishwasher - Basket design problem

rusting tine ends How old is your dishwasher, it looks quite new. If Bosch will not help cover the cost of a replacement rack maybe you have available in Germany dishwasher rack tip repair push on ends as we do here in USA/CANADA. Ebay.com has gray ones listed for Gaggeneau which I assume fit a...

    Dryer venting

Dryer vent 90 degrees I think the typical illustration of exit vent you described is based on manufacturer assuming most dryers are [1] in a basement and [2] pushed back against a wall hence the vent must go up to a height above ground level and with a tight 90 degree exit bend from dryer. If...

    New Range recommendations

New Self Clean Range I second appnut's suggestion of GE as a first choice. For easy do it yourself repair maintenance go with a coil top, my first choice. See if you can order your range with porcelain coated oven racks for easy self cleaning. Convection ovens in Canada/US give you the choice...

    Interesting Wedgewood Holly range

Wedgewood Holly Very nice range. So am I correct in presuming Wedgewood bought/amalgamated with Western Holly? I noticed the center burner flame ports and a full 180 degree adjustment range for the burner controls. If your kitchen already had a high through wall exhaust vent or ceiling vent...

Softner, liquid & sheet type perfume Smell ?

retaining scent in clean laundry Yogitunes, try some Mexican detergent and/or fabric softener. VERY long lasting scent, not for me but the scent does last. Ace, Ariel or whatever brand your Latin American store may carry.

This has to be a glitch...

odd photo Whirlpool DW What I find odd is photo of silverware basket with points up. For me all the points should face down, knives, forks, and spoon bowls. That is where the food remains are, the water spray comes from the bottom wash arm, simple, logical, and you avoid getting stabbed...

    New kitchen advices....

yellow cucina Yes I like it- the curve at top of doors, the handles also, the chrome trim on the curved end shelves. I also like the drop down table-logical design and the brown tops as well-if you had white walls the brown top would look much better than with the existing grey tiles here.

    Sadie

timeless classic Yes it is, and logical design-easily distinguished front/rear burner controls, one piece top and backsplash for no fuss cleaning, and classic white. Congratulations.

    GardenWeb / LaundryRoom Site

ths.gardenweb site merged/taken over by HOUZZ Malcolm actually I don't like the new format there. I find the gray and light green type hard to read and the thread headings are so spaced apart that quick legibility suffers and you must scroll more through the thread headings. I really am...
