#36, HPM-40 : woofer frame is cast aluminum and they have cloth accordion surround. I have a pair of smaller pioneers,8"woofer,from about 1974 that will end up hooked to a 1974 Panasonic delux all in one (phono,AMFM,cassette,8-track) in guest bedroom. Out in the moon shack,a 1982 facility,a...

Current main house system consists of: -Dual 1229 turntable from 1972: idler wheel drive, but a quite good one-platter is some heavy cast alloy and 4-pole motor has a magnet ring so runs synchronous when up to speed. The neon tube strobe silvered up long ago. -Philips 7951 receiver,1980: US...

I remember when FM was high fidelity :) For my local FM stations that changed around the mid-'00s : sounded slightly out of tune with a subtle ringy overtone and narrow dynamic range-sounded like a low rate download...I thought my radio was at fault...Last couple years sound has gotten...

Hitachi 1970's Portable Washer (Showa Era) PS-100

Cute little washer-love the colors. We had nothing like this in US,GE did sell a little impeller top load automatic washer made by Hitachi from about 1971-80 and there were Hitachi built twin tub washers in the 1970s

GE Filterflo? First Steps to start

First place to start is at the pump-besides probably seized, seems something like a sock is wound up in it blocking gravity drain.Use a 1/4 nutdriver to loosen pump coupler clamps and remove coupler to see what is up.

    Motor for Whirlpool Washer

OK, dug out the spare motor and took it for a test spin: terminals on right side of switch: W-common, BK- high speed, OR- low speed. LH side of stationary switch: BU-capacitor, V-purple wire into motor. Spare motor ran great and is avalible if needed.

    A806 Timer Motor

are your 2 bad motors open circuit on the coil?I thought the main problem with this style timer was the plastic gears shrinking from age and cracking.I will look if i have any of those-and if they work if found...

    GE imports,24"

Just noticed i have had a little GE FL in use for a decade after buying it as a leaker along with it;s matching condenser dryer-a molded rubber hose was installed wrong and rubbed a hole.working fine ever since. Washer has direct drive BLDC motor and fast spin.Condenser dryer sits on top of...

GE Filterflo? First Steps to start

Looks like the pump may have been leaking-the brown line of slung off spatter seen in line with pump coupler, black belt sling off below.Looks decent under there otherwize-visable wires look good.If pump was leaking it might be seized from the long sit.If seized and you cannot get it to rotate...

    vintage wheel pumps 101 ?

I have a '59 visimatic-that impeller sure looks a lot like the circulation impeller of a BD 4-port pump(used on some BDs through '72 ?) do not know if the impeller is actually usable on a visimatic pump .

GE Filterflo? First Steps to start

Bound up motor will just hum and then trip off overload protector-same thing if start circuit not completed because of start relay or timer fault. Take off rear panel or tip washer gently and rotate rubber pump coupler to see if motor rotates free and look for any damaged wiring.

    WTB: G.E. Filter Flo pump

found several pumps that turn good and hold water-soon one will head your direction :) I was wondering about transmission boots and looked and found just an old used one...I have several boots in my used parts stash, but the old rubber gets stiff and affects spin vibration...

    VMW curb grab

Do not know anything about an 18" Frigidaire, but do know about 18"Danby dishwashers :) Wash performance can be iffy with some loads in a washplate VMW,but with right load washes well enough.

    VMW curb grab

Got a WTW4950XW2,I think it is a 2012-cord and knobs were missing, but looks low usage with no belt dust on pulleys or fan and turns real nice. This is a washplate machine and might be a keeper if an easy fix-next few days might splice a cord on and see what happens...
