This machine shared the same top rack with the GE top load dishwasher where the lower rack was loaded by removing the lift out section of the top rack, just like this one unless the entire top rack is removed.

This version only had the two speed motor and the agitation shifted from high speed to low agitation speed after the first four minutes of the normal wash cycle. The agitator had small fins at the base with curved fins on the barrel.

It is interesting to note the difference between the effect of the agitation on the fabrics in the square tub and the round tub.

Most portable dishwashers in the 50s and 60s were toploaders and Maytag was late to the show. This machine did not have a water supply to the lid like Maytag did and it did not have the lid springs with so much tension on them that they sometimes cracked the back wall of the tub.
