Belt tightening How do I tighten the belt on the spinner? Something on the pump? The belt will soon wear out with repeated use loose because it slips when it starts and makes a slight screeching noise. If you can send a picture of how to tighten it, that would be GREAT. Thank you in advance.

Similar thoughts. I also was thinking the same about the belt. If something is in the spinner, it doesn't whistle. But if I put a plastic bag in it, it will stop the noise. Thank you for your response.

Something else I forgot to say one thing else. The spinner sounds like it has a loose belt. I mean the motor starts up then the spinne accelerates. Thank you in advance for your reply.

My new maytag washer(a50) is pretty good. I have been encountering a problem with it, though. When I drain the washer, the spinner makes a whine noise, similar to feedback on a microphone. Again, your supposed is GREATLY APPRECIATED!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!

Tell by lookin' at it. If the motor has copper coils in its rotor and has two black or gray bars connected to it, then it's a brushed motor. If not, then it's an induction motor.

Like it. Pretty good. The only thing I don't like is that when the mop is spun, the water flies everywhere. I might have to make a device that allows the water to hit that and drip down it. And when I got it it wasn't supposed to make that sound. It also shakes a good bit and is quite loud.
