    Wisk has been around since 1950's (IIRC), while Persil (Dial/Henkel) only arrived rather recently. Any comparison of offerings wouldn't be fair due to former being on US shelves far longer than latter.

    Perhaps it's rise of persons using low quality laundry detergents along with failure to run frequent hot or boil washes that is causing so much issues with rear bearings. Then there was famous (or infamous) issues created by using aluminum spiders.
