    Time For a New Furnace

Okay I didn’t know that the American Standard folded… Would like to know they built a good Generator… It would be nice to see that name there, too… Let’s hear it—or read it—for KOHLER…!!!!

    Time For a New Furnace

American Standard is no surprise for living up to its name… Centuries of Plumbing was where the brand started and making superior quality products no matter what other lines of products were added and introduced! Nice to know in the complicated world of complex heating, ventilation and cooling...

    Vintage Food Advertisements: Part Twenty-five

I do... The plain and nut ones, also... Haven't had for years--and the commercials of making an ordinary chocolate bar stack up to a chunky were funny!

    POD Easy Washer (10/27/2025)

It’s a Top-Of-The-Line, so what does each button do? I don’t see a knob that would regulate the water fill-level, so is this a timer-fill? And is it made by Gibson? A Gibson-branded as Easy instead of its parent-name? Wonder why Gibson went as Easy in the beginning of its laundry appliances...

    Throwing away food

I have to also agree, about the effort and life of animals sacrificed for making what was meant to eat, and hate seeing those things spoiled, damaged or expired causing waste of... Not to mention the packaging, too... If stuff doesn't sell, into the big dumpster it goes, just for more of it to...

    Vintage Appliance Advertisements: Part Thirty-one

Forgot to mention that I saw an old Kelvinator complete appliance ad that showed that same side by side fridge, as well as an upper and lower oven electric range, washer, dryer, dishwasher and freezer... I think everything was in avocado, except maybe the white freezer, which I think was a chest...

    WT Grant/Bradford appliance sourcing

My father worked for WT Grant's until it folded... So we had those appliances pf which I'd long wondered who the manufacturers were? The washer and dryer were unusual as I saw things that resembled Norge products and what was not-so-Norge... The dishwasher could easily have had WCI-parentage...

    Refrigerator Emblems collection

Well fridge emblems excite me too… I wonder why it’s easy to make so many more creative designs than with any other appliance emblems…

i can no longer find ordinary incandescent chandelier bulbs, gotta go with leds

Yes, i had a couple more burn out and one i disliked taking from a table lamp I have in a room that needs more light which also uses narrow-base bulbs… The LED’s that i had to buy, other than being relatively expensive, aren’t bad… They’re dimmable and give off a very robust, yellow light…...

Dishwashers losing popularity in US Homes???

Hmmmmm, how did another discussion break into another brutal argument? Take some of this to dirty laundry... Maybe WiFi lets you program your Start and Stop there, but don't forget to load and/or unload your garments beforehand... (And are you keeping track of...

Dishwashers losing popularity in US Homes???

The thing all these remotes via cell phones cannot do is load, unload, put in or take out or put away... There has got to be a mistaken faith in this Wi-Fi driven ennui, that people come home to empty appliances that they forgot to fill, or full ones that repeated their function because they...

Dishwashers losing popularity in US Homes???

Don't forget how "someone needed to invent an automatic dishwasher", so it has to be her: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josephine_Cochrane Josephine Cochrane, who sold her patent to none other than Hobart Corporation... Already establishing itself on building commercial kitchen appliances, and...

    Throwing away food

Ummm, I see you mis-spelled WASTE... So if you do mean WAIST, then the best thing to do (even with old lettuce, which might be better for you than eating none at all) is to EAT MORE SALAD...!!!!

How Would You Imagine A 2025 Whirlpool Direct Drive Washer?

Well, the way the top one is, but with the Whirlpool name... Surely would prefer a lot more than a Speed Queen... I'm even almost tempted to ditch my Maytag Pet Pro after two years, just to get a Whirlpool that will have a timer with a readout that will tell me how much longer the cycle is...

The History of the Introduction of the Automatics thru Newspapers

Isn't it something to see the way a washer that does everything for you to take on the same quality as inventing the television and the automobile... How something that made your life easier and in doing difficult and tiring household chores, in slow being welcomed, but what decades of anything...

    Throwing away food

Well, I had an overflowing pot of coffee be what got soaked up in some paper towel… An effort to give up coffee saw me put two remaining blends in my stovetop pot and fill it all the way up to 12 when it only brews without boiling over at 8… Sorry, no pics of here…

    Whirlpool Presents: "Keep Your Cool....Line" - 1970 16mm

Yes, purposely had to in order for no one but Sears to service its own appliances... And with parts from Whirlpool, the funds for the commerce of had to go directly there... It had to also head-off potential repairs and complaints, so there was clearly a prompt for this become a good idea for...

what would be your choice of vintage dishwasher to install in a modern kitchen if you do not went something modern or with manual filter to clean

Sears Lady Kenmore roto-rack or a "gonna corner the market" Kitchen Aid Superba, making Hobart build just one more for me, that I know will clean more superior & last longer and much better then any other sort of appliance in the house, and any other competitor's dishwasher...
