    Gas or Electric Halo-of-heat

Recently my room mate purchased a set of Maytags. He got a great deal on the pair. Only $40.00! The dryer is electric. I have only been around gas dryers growing up, the same goes for him, and all my other room mates. Which do you guys and gals prefer? Gas or electric, and why?

    ABC Wringer!

I want! I want! I hate that most of what I want is "Local pick up only"... Ugh I find it interesting that ABC went with a black roller like Maytag did. http://www.ebay.com/itm/300702250981?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

Random Wringer Washers On The East Coast

I actually would like an early Speed Queen Wringer... If I'm not mistaken, I think there was a green model, 30's perhaps.

    Kitchenaid/Hobart Stand Mixers

@ chachp Yes. I have a model "G", and use it all the time. From my understanding, the model "G" first came about in 1927, and lasted up until...? Not sure. But being that I want to maintain my decor to the late 1920's to VERY early 1930's, a model "H" seems best to have. I would take a model...

    Kitchenaid/Hobart Stand Mixers

Are there any members here that are into Kitchenaid/Hobart stand mixers? I am in the market for an H-5. I'm not sure if this model would be difficult to acquire.

    Swamp/Evaporative Coolers

@strongenough78 I know what you mean. I love that certain scent that only Swamp Coolers with "Aspen" Pads give off. I also like that gust of air that they give. I remember growing up at my Grandmothers house, during the summer when she'd have it turned on. The entire room was animated, the...

    Swamp/Evaporative Coolers

@washer111; I will admit, they are ineffective in humid weather. But in a dry heat, they reign king. Water consumption is minuscule, as well as the power needed in comparison to that of a "Refrigerant" type unit. The design of these machines are very simple, should something go wrong such as...

    Vintage Vacuums!

These are a few that are in my collection. Starting from the left; First 2 are both Hamilton Beaches, Hoover, next 3 are all Apex, Airway, Eureka, and then Clements at far right.

    Swamp/Evaporative Coolers

Is there a following for swamp coolers? It's getting harder and harder to spot the earlier ones it seems. My neighbor and I refurbished one that I got from my Grandmother. It works like a champ.
