HELP WITH A MAYTAG A606 WASHER PLEASE

Hmmm... My guess would be the motor glider. Having the glider function properly will deliver the right amount to tension needed to both agitate and spin. I'm having the same issue with mine. It'll agitate sporadically, and without much strength.

    Interesting Agitators

There has been a surfacing of Wringers with interesting agitators turning up. This is what catches my eye most of the time. If I could, I'd grab these in a heart beat! Check out this MW (another Apex), looks very similar to the agitator that is in my Wardway Standard...

    Lookie

*%@#! JUST my luck, a day late and a dollar short... The Maytag I have needs the stainless lint filter with the fabric softener cup, but I would have settled for this until I found one... drat!

    Cleaning Aluminum Agitators

Thank you guys, I used a scotch bright pad and dish washing soap. I'm happy with the results. I didn't press too hard as I was afraid of scratching it. It was mainly dark and with very light spots of that white stuff, lime I think it might be. I'll keep at it and then post a picture of them. I'm...

    Cleaning Aluminum Agitators

Hello all! I was wondering what the best way to clean an aluminum agitator would be... I've searched online and have found that using Cream of Tarter works, but this would require boiling... Any ideas?

    Two Maytag Wringers Must go...

Hello all! I'm going to need to unload on two Maytag wringers that I have. One is an N2LP (Turquoise) that was made sometime in the 80's, and the other is an E2LP (Red) that is earlier, 50's perhaps... If anyone here is interested please let me know, I'd sure like them to go to a good home.

    Vintage Steams Irons

Your best bet is to find them on ebay and thrift stores, that's what I do. I have a bunch of cloth cords. Let me know if you need one still.

    Victor Electrola Phonograph!

Thank you, I'm glad everyone enjoyed it. I love the music from this era. Closing the lid actually takes away the surface noise, and gives a little more bass in my opinion. It even say's "Close lid while playing" under the lid. I've acquired a great deal of records in the mid 90's, mostly from...

I'm bored and why is butter yellow?

I LOVE butter! I think real butter is always better. Salted for me please. I've always left my butter out on the counter in a butter dish. I've heard somewhere along the line that this could be a bad thing, but it's never made me sick so there ya go! Hi KELLY! I miss you! That picture you...

    Victor Electrola Phonograph!

At last, my Victor Electrola model RE-45 has been repaired. I've had this for a few years and it stopped working shortly after I brought it home. Made in 1929, this beast weighs about 250 pounds at least, no foolin'. Turns out that all it needed was to have the needle holder adjusted. A dear...
