My 1970 Maytag 806 is lonely!

LOL! I know, I need to have more patience! Around here the washer is usually the one tossed out first, and the dryer remains.. (or soldiers on) Sometimes for years.

Hmm.. That dryer sounds pretty interesting! Maybe someday I will be able to see one in person..LOL!

My 1970 Maytag 806 is lonely!

For some reason, I always just find either the washer or the dryer! I was never able to find the match for the Imperial Mark XII washer (with the genuine fake woodgrain front!) and ended up giving it to Jamie before moving.

My 1970 Maytag 806 is lonely!

I bought this Nice Maytag 806 built in January 1970 last year thinking I could find the matching Gas or Electric dryer easily.. Not! It's been a year, and I have turned up absolutely nothing. Does anyone out there within a reasonable distance have a dryer? Gas or Electric is fine. I would like...

    '68 Kenmore 700

Does anyone have a picture of the matching dryer? For now, all I could find was a '64 800 to pair it up with.

    '68 Kenmore 700

Thanks Gordon! This one was last used in 1981 after the filter plugged up. The owner then retired it to a corner of the basement thinking they would later repair it.

Here's a recent find on Detroit Craigslist. Had a stopped up self-cleaning filter. It was plugged solid with cardboard bits! After removing and then soaking the assembly for a while, I managed to free things up enough to run pressurized water back and fourth until the cardboard was all gone, and...

    Sears Manufacturer Codes

This one is Coppertone. I like the fact that it has an oven on the bottom as well. It has the pull out burners like the Flair, but the top oven door opens to the side instead of lifting from the front.

    Sears Manufacturer Codes

Today I purchased a mid 60's Sears range (it looks like the flair) And tried looking up online who the manufacturer was, but it showed no listing for my number. The model number is 101.9036640. Any idea who made it?

Early Kenmore Automatic Washer Up For Trade!

There can't be many of these left in existence, so I decided to not do anything to this machine as far as repairs. It will be going to a more experienced collector on this forum that will be able to truly appreciate it! My thanks go out to him to make this long distance trade happen!

Early Kenmore Automatic Washer Up For Trade!

Yes, it sure did get crossed up! Getting back to the original topic now, going by the model and serial# in the first post, is this a '52? Also, I just noticed it has two pumps. Both of course are seized. What is the best way to go with freeing them up? WD40? Or a warm water soak? On the 60's...

Early Kenmore Automatic Washer Up For Trade!

I have had just about every Seeburg model from the LPC1 up to the SMC1. My favorites are the STD2 "Entertainer" and the APFEA1 "Discotheque". All I have left are those two mentioned, and a semi custom FC1 "Regency" once owned by Seeburgs President.

Early Kenmore Automatic Washer Up For Trade!

This one came from the original owners basement. It was sitting next to the one that replaced it, a Green 60's Kenmore! which was sitting next to the empty spot where I was told there was a 90's Kenmore! (it had been sold) I did NOT plug it in, but did check the underneath of the washer, and...

NOS Turquoise Universal built in oven

I picked this up over the weekend. It looks like maybe '58-'59 vintage? From what I was told, it had been stored in a garage since the early 60's as a backup, but never got installed. I had to clean all the years of dust and cobwebs off it, and removed some of the packing that was brittle and...

I have the washer on a furniture dolly, it's a lot easier to move around that way!

'66 and '62 Kenmores for sale

I have an 1966 Kenmore 800 washer, and 1962 Kenmore 70 dryer recently removed from an estate. I did test them at the original location and they both worked still. BTW, I still have the '65 800 washer available as well if anyone is interested. I would like to keep them, but space is at a premium...

    Kenmore 800 W/Suds return

    Model: 110.S6505807W00 Serial: 22082 C828 I would assume it's a 1965 model made in 1968?
