Mike The Naturell, Plus, S514 and the Universal uprights are assembled in China with components from Germany..etc. The S4 and S5 lines are both 100% German made. I believe the new S7 upright will be too, but we shall see.

For you Miele fans out there, I did a small video segment for a local TV show, and demoed the Capricorn and the espresso system. They say the camera adds ten pounds, well this was an ultra high tech professional camera so that numbers probably closer to 20, but overall it turned out good :-)...

I wash only for myself and do four loads per week. 1)Colors 2)Whites 3)Blacks 4)Sheets We (roomate, his BF, I) share a crappy Whirlpool which I cannot wait to replace with a Miele. Sometimes the water just drains out of it and it doesn't even go into spin mode.

The cloth bags are still available. Great for commercial use.

Very nice Bobby, if you plan on using the machine regularly, spring for the Miele Z Bags, as you will get the great Intensiveclean Miele filtration and more airflow. If not, then regular bags would do fine.

Actually I'm looking closer at the pic, and I don't see the "floor" setting on the height adjustment. This may be a one motor machine. But they did have one with two motors.

Bobby That was made by Panasonic. It seems to me that was one of the first Kenmores of that style (Panasonic made,motor bypass, on-board tools). What's unique about this machine is that it actually has two motors. One for the suction, and one for the brushroll. The later incarnation reverted...
