    Celebration Keymatic

That's a fantastic cake, Mathew! I hope you had a good birthday. I like your cake too, Gary, in particular the clever use of the little cake foil for the drum! Being a 'Keymatic' thread, I thought you may be interested to see a couple of 'period' photos (slide scans) which my dad took, back in...

Parnall user guide for my dryer. Very pleased!!

An update on the other Parnall that I thought may have been scrapped. It's re-listed and has bids on it (ending tonight), so it looks like it lives to fight another day! Hoorah! I forget whether my last Ebay link worked or not, but here is the above listing...

Parnall user guide for my dryer. Very pleased!!

Christopher, I have a nasty feeling that the other one on Ebay was scrapped. I've not seen it re-listed. :-( I did try and persuade the guy that it was worth saving, and that I was sure he'd find another owner for it eventually. I just hope he's either decided to keep it, or that someone else...

Parnall user guide for my dryer. Very pleased!!

Yes if I had the space I think I'd have to have one of them! The last one like mine that I saw on Ebay didn't sell.... and the guy listing it told me he lived next door to a scrap dealer. I couldn't bring myself to asking him what became of that poor machine afterwards! :-(

Parnall user guide for my dryer. Very pleased!!

Hi Christopher. Thanks! Re your question, were you asking if the dryer was originally for commercial use? I think these were just made for the home. My photos are a bit large!

Parnall user guide for my dryer. Very pleased!!

Some may remember my thread on the purchase of a 1960 Parnall Auto-Dry tumble dryer, about 8 months ago. This is the identical dryer to the one I was brought up with. Well, ever since buying the dryer I have been on the hunt for the correct owner's manual for my model of dryer, and I have been...

Parnall TD59 Dryer. Ebay (UK) Needs a loving home!

Al, that 1950s one on Ebay I think is the one that I saw originally listed at £400!!! Like you say, they are not THAT rare, and as it is, there is so little demand for these types of things. We are the select few! Lol I paid £50 for mine as it happens, and would have paid more, but then my...

    Amberly working museum

Wow! I've always fancied going there, and I had no idea they had that section! Arundel is not too far from me, so I feel a trip coming on, in the very near future! Doug

Intro & a Parnell Tumble Dryer

Hello Claire. Sorry to hear about the recent loss of your Dad. Well done for attempting to find the dryer a new home. So often these lovely old machines get dumped without any thought or attempt to rescue them first. I have recently become the happy owner of the next model Parnall on from...

Early Parnall dryer. 10 page manual on Ebay UK

I know there's at least one person on here (ChesterMikeUK I believe) who has the early Parnall tumbledryer with the solid door. Well the Ebay listing below (not mine) has a 10 page manual for what appears to be that model of dryer, and it looks to be in excellent condition! I would give my right...

    Colston Brand

Wow that brings back the memories! Everything on the 850 XD looks identical to the Consort, down to the door catch and formica top etc. Possibly the only difference is that Consort may not have been a combined washer/dryer (?), as we had the old Parnall dryer at that time. Doug
