How do i get rid of this nasty fabric softener gunk that is accumulating on the agitator and forming a nasty ring around the tub. Its my 2000 model year Kenmore 70 3 speed. Im also starting to notice a little bit on my new Whirlpool belt drive on the agitator.

3 Speed Model 70 Here is my 3 speed Model 70. Its a 2000 model. It was treated to a new clutch assembly and motor coupler and a pump. It does not have Automatic Temp Control. It does however have the quiet pak insulation.

Pic 3 Dispenser door is missing. Are the dispenser doors still available, and how do i Tell if the release mechanism still works to dispense the detergent? I have been throwing Cascade Packs in at the beginning of the prewash on normal cycle, then again on the main wash cycle.
