Mickeyd - sure. I'll take some better pictures this evening or tomorrow with my Nikon D3100. I love the offset timer on this model. If you notice, the knob is below the dial (which looks like a clock). This model had the usual preprogrammed cycles (left side) and cycle modifiers (right side)...

This actually was at the request of my wife... I also found out why it wasn't going into 1010 Rapidry Spin, the off-balance switch was stuck! It's amazing, the 1967 Frigidaire WCIL outlasts the 2003 Kenmore. I love it!

1967 Kenmore 800 pair is now mine!

Years of Production How many years was this model made? This is the machine my parents had when I was a kid and I think I remember 1968 stamped on the transmission.

    1955 Kenmore restore!

Did you ever wonder.... Watching you guys restore this beautiful example of engineering that withstood the test of time..... That 50 years from now if there will be a group of guys restoring a "vintage" Samsung or LG? I think not....

    Suisun City vintage Kenmore set

I'm not sure, I do remember ours was black with the scrubber cap/measuring cup. It also had the triangular bleach/fabric softener dispenser in the lower left corner and the full length flourescent light in the console. That machine lasted us from I'm guessing '68 until '80 when we got the BD...

    Suisun City vintage Kenmore set

That is the exact washer we had when I was growing up. I thought it was a 1968 model though (thought I saw that date code stamped on the tranny during a belt replacement) Ours had the black Super Roto Swirl agitator with the scrubber cap.

1967 Frigidaire Custom Imperial won't Rapidry

Yup, checked the cycle selectors and it should be doing the 1010 RPM. That was the first thing I checked.

1967 Frigidaire Custom Imperial won't Rapidry

So, I'm guessing it's either the timer or the solenoid. Am I to assume I should be seeing 120V at the solenoid when it should be engaging?

    Lady Kenmore Visi Matic Washer

You have come to the right place Alex. I'm sure there is someone here who can help you out. My grandmother had a Kenmore Visimatic (I believe it was a 1963 model). Sounds like you have one you are working on. Any pictures?

    Please explain "Clamshell"

Jaws I was watching the movie "Jaws" today and in the beginning scene (not the one where the girl gets eaten) but the scene in the kitchen you can clearly see what appears to be a 1963 Clamshell Frigidaire! I never noticed this before.

They are old, tall, grey and loud (just like me)

I just acquired a pair of Shure Vocal Master speaker columns! For you musicians out there, you know the old saying..."if you never sang through Vocal Masters, you weren't in a garage band." They are in remarkably good shape for being 33 years old, just needed a bit of cleaning up. I ran my...

Need to replace our Amana Dryer

I was talking to Jamie (Pulsator) and he recommends Speed Queen. Looks like the new version of our Amana, which makes me feel pretty good since it lasted 14 years without a hiccup. It will be paired up with our 2003 Kenmore Calypso, which I feel has moderate extraction. My wife and I will be...
