GE Double Door Refrigerator GSH25JSXNSS Fan Switching To High Speed and Freezing

Mom used to always remind me to "Use Common Sense". Well, I've "tuned" my Common Sense over the decades, which includes an acute sense of skepticism, a healthy amount of reasoning, and a sharp amount of questioning things. Some might call it "looking down the road and seeing past your nose". And...

    KDC-17 Lover

I ran my KDC-19 yesterday. I started it at 1:30PM. It finished it's normal wash cycle at 2:30PM The air-dry fan then ran till 3:30PM when the machine's timer finally stopped. ;)

GE Double Door Refrigerator GSH25JSXNSS Fan Switching To High Speed and Freezing

Ya see... that's the trouble with all these "modern" appliances today. Over-engineered, over-designed, trouble-prone hunks of crap. I imagine that regardless of the brand name, that they hire some smart young Geeks to design these things, the higher-ups then accept the "impressive" design, and...

Newer Whirlpool washers known for control board failures?

In response to original post #1 The fact that the 10 year old machine had no control board problems is likely because of a different design. And the newer models problems are likely due to where the boards were made, and what parts venders were used in the design, along with what factory...

    KDC-17 Lover

If it's anything like mine, it initially fills, then pauses while the heating element brings up the water temp, then starts the prewash, etc. Same happens for the final Sani-rinse.

    Christmas tree and lights

Very nice! When I put my (fake) 7 foot tree up, I also have a string of bubble lights on it. It has 550 mini colored bulbs already on it. And I put a set of remote controlled trains underneath, and some Hess Trucks, etc. The tree sits on a vintage 1950's rotating stand that has a music box in...

    KDC-17 Lover

The Kitchenaid KDC-17 is very similar to my KDC-19. I used mine today, and it does a terrific job on a load of dishes, pots & pans, etc. I had a few minor issues with leaking hoses in the past, but those have been cured. But that machine is definitely worth hanging onto. Double-check the float...

    WAYMO Technology

My first car, a 1972 Chevy Nova, had a 307ci engine, and a powerglide transmission. It also had a big Holly Spreadbore carb which gave it great acceleration. That car naver gave me any trouble.

    WAYMO Technology

There's a modification that I had done on the transmission of my Lincoln back in 2005. Originally, the transmission had a sloppy and noisy bearing in the torque converter, that was repaired. I also wanted that shift mod done, set of springs that improve the shifting response time, making for a...

    WAYMO Technology

Reminds me of one of my favorite movies with Susan Sarandon and Brad Pitt. "Thelma And Louise" It just tears me up to see one of my favorite Thunderbirds go off a cliff.

You hit on all good points there. The standardization of vehicle controls should be an "across the board" mandate as it used to be. I watched those videos that you posted, and shook my head, thinking what the hell has happened to this world? Who in hell is behind all this so-called innovation...

    WAYMO Technology

On my workbench, whether servicing a customer's product, or designing something of my own from scratch, I always make "sure" that everything's covered as far as safety is concerned. I even consider "abuse" and "misuse", so if something should happen, it's not going to cause any harm.

    WAYMO Technology

I heard something about that tragic accident of Anton's. Goes to show that auto vehicles aren't thought out completely in case something happens or goes wrong. One more reason that "technology" isn't always a good thing. And that imperfect humans designed things like that.

My apologies on mistaking your age, it isn't listed on here, the only thing I could judge from and assume from was that photo of some younger guy standing on a snowy street holding a bottle of fabric softener. https://automaticwasher.org/media/me-being-my-usual-silly-self-jpg.3655/

Robert, you're what?... In your 30s? You've really have no real-life experience of living in the world before you were born, and how could you, asides from hearing stories from some elders, watching some TV or videos, or Google. I'm not talking about prehistoric times living in caves. You never...

LOL!!!!!!!!!!! The guy would have done better to take a bus to the airport! See?....."Technology" has the power to disrupt your life too. Someone here will chime in with "It's only a one-time thing" of course. Keep sticking up for those technological advantages! I'm sittin' here laughing my ass off!

    WAYMO Technology

I gotta say that your "In Time" and "will ever achive a 100% error free" means that during that people's lives are potentially at stake. If one person dies due to it, it's one too many, and think of their families loss. Do we have to succumb to being the Sacrificial Lambs of technology? How...
