whirlcool, when i was 7, i saw that same exact bar stereo at someone house in pottstown pa. i was highly obsessed with it and i thought it was just a set of speaker that you just put you own set of stereo components on the other side, but it was against the wall so i didn't see it good enought...

i want that console, lol! anyway, thatz a nice piece you scored and i like how the 2 tweeter are mounted infront of the woofers. also a console with a tape recorder is awesome too. that unit looks mid-60's or early 70's. btw is the pickup ceramic or magnetic?

tolivac, lol! i notice the "dried out" on some vintage speakers. the cone on old speakers has a flexible feel to it. the worst part is the foam surrounds drying out on high-end speakers.

wow, those are nice console there. i wonder if the 2nd one has horn tweeters too? also, i saw a 1969 zenith console at goodwill once with the original intrustions manual in it and one of the pages state that a cassette or 8-track deck was and optional items and that it mounts inside the record...
