    classiccaprice about your 45 player, you're going have to dissassemble it, degrease it, clean it, change all rubber parts, and regrease it. also oil the motor bearings and clean the shaft too. itz for me to explain exactly what to do, but thatz what needs to be done for it to work properly.

    you what i discovered about maggies in the 50's throught the mid 60's is that on some of the low cost equipment mostly portables don't know about floor models, but anyway a vm changer was used.

    haha! i born in january of 1986 and i was towards the end of the 80's. i didn't get to see much ot it. i do remember my bros had a blue ge stereo record player, but i think they gave it away, but last year i bought that same record player off ebay.

    my machine needs a new filter cap, lubrication, and maybe a new drivewheel. oh yeah, i did restored 2 rca victor 45 players,but right now i'm currently recapping 2 rca victor radio with phono jacks on the back. once i get 'em finished up, i'll make a youtube vid of them.

    studiomatic changer here's my 1966 rca victor vista portable solid state stereo record player off ebay with original tag on handle. needs new filter capacitor, lubrication, maybe a new idler wheel, but needle is still good.

    that changer looks like a 1970's bsr. i've seen some 1970's bsr changers with those same knobs.

    contacts cleaned! well guy, i cleaned all the contacts and still nothing happen. it even records like that too.
