    TOAST-R-MANIA

We had one like the catalog picture, with the start button/bar at the front, which is missing on the newer one that was on e-bay. I remember buying it with my folks, but don't know what happened to it. It did work well, and I would buy another if I ever saw a good one. It even had a top brown...

Guess what I brought home today!

Great save there! Looks like it is in good shape for the year. Interesting design, I wonder if there is a way to back light the controls, they remind me of a friends 66 Charger Dash. You are getting a great collection. Scott

    VCR's

I still have my first VCR from 1984, a Zenith, that calls itself "Hi Fi" still works fine. I have one of those Panasonics with the scanner as well. I will have to dig around and see what old dusty tapes I have, I never thought of checking those out, should be fun. Scott

Rick's recently refurbunished ravishing retro Radarange

About that tray, Rick, you have mail, and THANKS... see I did not have that list of no no's... now I know better. I love the lighted knobs, reminds me of the one the next door neighbors had, when new, we used to make cored apples with butter and cinnamin treats, that was amazing at the time.

    Radarange troubles

The stores in Marlow Heights, etc. K-mart, the various food stores closed in that area years ago, shoplifting, etc. was rampant. Hechingers went out of business all over the area due to Home Depot/Lowes.. They had just completely flattened the old building and built a new one too... took over...

New Whirlpool add in Sundays Parade Mag.

Did you find it caught your eye to see that nice electronic Whirlpool washer (recent POD model), the Kitchen Aid dishwasher in Avacado, etc. all kicked to the curb?? Of course wish I knew where they were to rescue them! I guess I need to ride by Sears and see what they have dumped out back!

    Can I brag?

Austin, Venus, and family, Just wanting to add my Congratulations to the thread, that takes a lot of hard work, and an ability to stay focused on what is important. With all the negative peer pressures these days, the fact that you maintain that kind of average and still balance your life so...

Vintage cars from a car show this summer

Nice rides! I love going to car shows in hopes of seeing cars like that. Around here it is Mustangs and Camaros, and not the older classics. I love the 60's cars the most! Thanks for posting those, nice to see some classic, powerful Olds being preserved. Someday I will get around to getting my...

    Radarange troubles

Tolivac I left that area in the mid 80's but worked for a while at Sheehy Ford. I do remember shopping up there and at Iverson, my mom liked "casual corner" and Woodies, etc. I grew up going to Sears down on Alabama Ave. then we started to go to the one at Landover, at least that is still open...
