A Batch of Cookies
Made by Terry during one of his visits. When I went through his bags looking for id's I found a box of cake mix and a bag of chocolate chips. Totally Terry. We'll miss you.
Some Pictures
And wonderful memories for me. When I first met Terry I was totally entranced by what a wonderful, warm and genuine person Terry was. He loved Electroluxes and I arranged to get a new-in-the-box rebuilt Electrolux G vacuum. He was here for a gala for the Center on Halsted and I...
Well
I guess it is what you are used to. My first owned dishwasher was a KDS-17. If you have a couple of the pre 18 machines, and know how to load them, they definitely have their charms. As far as style is concerned, those old pre-18 machines can't be beat. Between the KDS-17 in the...
Tom
My KDI-14 makes that same "flutter" noise on fill. Thought something was wrong with it, but perhaps not. Otherwise works like a charm. As Terry says - this puppy is done in short order and the dishes come out clean. Greg says that the dishes scream to get out of there.
Here's Mine
Hardly used when I got it. This is the Imperial. This was the first series (I believe) to have multiple models (Superba, Imperial, Custom.)
Mercedes SL
That would be mine. A 560SL - 5.6 liter V8. Hard to pass on the open road. Interesting story behind it. Bought new in LA in 1986 and passed on to me by my partner. Starting to be a bit grumpy, but after 25 years, it's entitled. Still looks great though.
BTW
If anyone has an Easy Spindrier that they want to sell, let me know ([email protected]) Time to set up a modern laundry room like this. Just have to find a porcelain sink like that.
Oops
Not the last one. Had to get at least one in of the Dexter twin tub wringer (manufactured in the next state over-Iowa -what other well-known washing machine manufacturer was there???) Great specimen. BTW - I stayed at the local casino-hotel. The Par-a-Dice. Great fun. Didn't make a...
One Last One
Out on the driveway. A bunch of machines lined up including an early 30's ABC spinner (made right there in Peoria.) This lineup was a show-stopper for folks walking up the street. This is close to Bradley University in Peoria. Let me end here with another thanks to a great host...
