    Tide Ultra Oxi

Poor cleaning? Odd. Lots of review sites tout how good of a cleaner Tide Oxi powder is and usually places near the top of the ranks. Though, it needs heat to really impress. I have always had great results with the standard Tide powder in cleaning and odor removal, but only use it in either...

Tide Hygienic Clean Heavy Duty-Free & Clear Liquid - Discontinued

Discontinued I noticed the same, messaged them, and was inform that the exact same product plus another ingredient for odor removal would be replacing it, just as you did. The rebranding might actually lead to more sales over “hygienic clean” but ultimately is victim to P$Gs marketing...

Refrigerator review, WRFF3436RZ00, WP french door

Fridge Great review! Our old Whirlpool side by side was great, but frozen pizzas didn’t fit well. Never missed a beat. Only two broken door trays after 11 years. The new KA French door has already had two in 2 years. It is quieter, but again does seem to run constantly. Praying it lasts...

What did you think of the F&P style whirlpool washers

Oasis/Bravos I was actually pleasantly surprised by this platform. Certainly better than the VMAX. I have ran a few loads in a TOL Bravos XL that did well on anything but heavily soiled loads. It just could will not perform like a FL. Original impellers were better IMHO, but likely were...

"New and improved" cascade platinum and platinum plus.

Cascade Platinum Plus Fresh Scent Ran another load. Not many suds either. Seems to have less scent as well. Overall, more impressed from prior, but will stick to Platinum.

"New and improved" cascade platinum and platinum plus.

New and improved I am currently running a heavily soiled load of dishes with the Platinum Plus. Very little sudsing. I will try again on another load to see if this is a fluke, but largely improved over prior version. johnb300m, I should have said it better. I think the ingredient “softens”...

    My Whirlpool dishwasher

Sensor cycle Odd enough, our newer KA is the same way. Time cuts down considerably with high temp added and heated dry on. Turn either off, and time jumps. Though, sensor/ProWash without heated dry is shortest. I imagine this is for Consumer Reports testing. Though, this doesn’t bother me as...

GE UltraFresh Vent System actually works!

FanFresh A very highly underrated feature our Duet had. It would run for about 18 hours after a cycle. Very intermittent tumbles, maybe every 15 min, but the fan would really help with removing moisture from the drum and clothes after spinning. It was a great feature to run at night or when you...

"New and improved" cascade platinum and platinum plus.

Trisodium Dicarboxymethyl Alaninate That is the product that allows for the great cleaning, but is very likely responsible for the sudsy nature. As long as cleaning doesn’t suffer, they will add more of it to increase performance. AFAIK, there is more in the action pacs with each version as you...

Happy 20th Birthday to my Whirlpool Duet FL Washer

Congrats! Honestly not shocked. I see a few floating around every now and then! Ours made it to 11 years with heavy use. Here is to another 10!

"New and improved" cascade platinum and platinum plus.

Mountain Scent I might be the odd one out, but it’s horrible. Not to mention way too strong. Lemon is much better IMHO.

"New and improved" cascade platinum and platinum plus.

Platinum Plus I have a bag of the old version, though use them only with heavily soiled loads. For a majority of loads, these are absolute overkill., not to mention additional damage to racks, etc. The KA does well at avoiding suds, but I have used many machines that can’t handle the original...

how long to wear jeans before washing them

Quite a bit Generally I do not wash mine until they are visibly soiled, was in a dirty location, or have some odor from some, food, etc. However, in the winter I only wear jeans maybe twice for a few hours, so I can get away with a longer period of time between washes. Generally washed on cold...

    The Cool Wash Temperature

Cool I find it half way useful, though rarely used it. The average person likely would use it frequently. The GE TL we did have at a rental for a brief time had it. The ATC was a more appropriate temp versus cold, and did not fill with tap hot like warm setting would at times. My grandparents...

does Auto 45-65 on BSH dishwashers choose between two fixed degrees, or is it variable?

Auto From what I understand, it is variable based on energy consumption. Though, don’t quote me as I am not 100% certain. As far as I am aware, Eco works the same way in reverse, where the final rinse temp is variable to limit energy consumption and meet a more specific desired value. So when...

Finally got powdered tide plus downy! Anyone else seen this around still?

Tide w Downy powder Also one of my favorites. I have good luck finding it at Target, though rarely at Walmart.

    GE GFW450 SSm1WW Front loader-stinky clothes complaint

Taed OxiClean Home and Laundry sanitizer did have TAED, but it was recently discontinued. Plain OxiClean does not contain it, which I agree is kind of crazy. Lots of people use it as an additive in situations where it is not doing much., as stated above it needs a fair amount of heat. Affresh...

    GE GFW450 SSm1WW Front loader-stinky clothes complaint

Dadoes Dadoes is 100% accurate. Low temp washing, too much detergent, keeping the door closed, etc. I don’t feel buying a new machine is a good solution if the problem will reoccur. I have had good results with citric acid and clean washer cycles for buildup. Though, bleach would be better...

Do you use heated dry on your dishwasher?

Heated dry Thought I posted here, but I guess not. The KitchenAid dries so well that I do not use it in the summer. Though, the extra heat and moisture is great during the winter, so we use it then. Some machines need a heated dry cycle more than others. Frigidaire DWs immediately come to mind.
