ProWash Heated Dry OFF Ran a full lightly soiled load of dishes today. ProWash Heated Dry OFF, no other options. Used a bluetooth/wireless digital thermometer. Prewash 2:13-2:01 Mainwash 2:00-0:50 (reached 120ºF and maintained within 3ºF for remainder) Detergent dispensed within 1 minute...

Prewashes John, do you have one of these machines? The ProWash with High Temp as posted above is the only instance I have ever witnessed this machine perform 2 prewashes other than Express. Ran Normal with High Temp today and it performed 1 prewash, with 2 full post rinses. ~4.0 gallons. I...

Spray rinse mark_wpduet, the 'High' setting on Normal cycle will perform a final spin of anywhere from 1100-1255 RPM for only about 1-2 minutes. Whereas the 'Extra High" setting adds anywhere from 8-14 minutes of spinning at that speed. IF you need something washed quickly, this would be...

How Often You Should Wash Your Sheets

Sheets Weekly. Always in hot. I do the same for towels. Washcloths are one time use. All of my towels and sheets are white so that they will not fade, and I can use bleach if needed. I have never had an issue.

Duet I know I sound like the LGs are more of a hassle than they're worth, however they are far better than a majority of machines on the market. My Duet was kind of glitchy and had its own issues, though I absolutely loved that machine. If anything, it had personality. But, I might like the...

WM9500 I know exactly what video you are talking about. Lol. I will have to watch and pay attention to the spray rinses. I don't recall them being that long on my machine.

Egress Absolutely! Have you heard the 3rd rack whine? Currently using up a large stash of Finish Quantum from Costco. It cleans really well, and does not suds up like Cascade products do, however, I like the addition of Trisodium Dicarboxymethyl Alaninate in Cascade products. It helps quite a...

cycle times A majority of the time they fall closer to what appnut is claiming. If you increase the final spin up to 'Extra High' it will fall right at an hour. I have never had the Towels cycle take more than about 70 minutes on heavy soil.

Towel with TurboWash As appnut said, it reduces time by about 5 minutes. Not sure how, because it seems to still use the recirculation even with TurboWash off. The cycle runs about 1 hour. IMHO, the Normal cycle with TurboWash is designed too much for speed anymore. BY the time you adjust the...

ProDry There isn't really a need for ProDry unless the dishes are needed rather quickly. If I let the dishes sit in the Dishwasher overnight, the machine runs the fan and dishes are dry by the morning. It isn't worth the additional electricity or potential damage to dishes. I just ran ProDry...

    KDTM604KPS

After 2 weeks of using the KDTM604KPS, I figured I would give a review of my newest purchase. As many of you know, stopmeister72 recently had his machine’s filter explode, which is seemingly common. However, murando531 and Lorainfurniture have had excellent experiences with their machines...

    New LG washer coming Thursday

Nice! As I have mentioned a thousand other times, try the Towels cycle instead of using Normal. It does not have the option for Extra Hot, but uses a higher water level, good tumbles, and 3 interim rinses with strong interim spins. Plus the final spin isn't either 2 minutes or 30 minutes. Lol.

I can't believe I've never thought to do this.

Lift off toilet seats? I need those! I had no clue this was a thing! Our new house smells like pee in the bathrooms, and we have done everything other than replace the toilets. I will say, using a steam cleaner and cleaning around the bottom of the toilet does wonders! I think our issue is with...

    The unofficial cake test.

PowerClean I, too, miss my Power Clean. KUDS25. An absolute brute force. Nothing ever came out dirty and no yibbles like some complain about. Plus, it would dry dishes like nothing I have ever used, until I purchased the KDTM604. I wouldn't dare try this test in it, but it probably would manage.

    Speed Queen 2024

Capacity We recently moved. Installed in the new house was a BOL Roper DD. Capacity wasn't as bad as I expected, but we were doing loads of towels 2x a week. Now that we have the KenLG installed again, I can safely say that the 20 towels per load are completely normal for us, and not to mention...

    Detergent in so-called Eco Packaging

EcoBox Thats horrible. I am on my 3rd EcoBox product, and I have never had an issue. Only complaint is that I find it hard to get all of the product out of the bag when it is nearly empty.

Fabric Stripping: Amazing results with STPP and the Miele

Sorry... Just now seeing this. I highly recommend using the Sanitary cycle because of the 3 rinses with higher water level, but also fairly strong interim spins. I am kinda shocked by the amount of detergent left in the clothes. However, the Normal cycle with TurboWash on leaves a lot to be...

The Results Are In... And Its Not What You Think..! Miele T1 HP vs LG Vented Dryer

Vented to HP I wouldn't. It seems like your energy cost is about double what mine is. However, the savings of ~$2 a month is negligible especially considering the initial purchase price. It would make more sense to me to start drying the work shirts and work pants at 'Less Dry' versus 'Normal...
