Fellow enthusiasts, please elaborate on this 2 year old Maytag dishwasher

Cleaning DW I highly recommend using citric acid. It cleans like you wouldn't believe.

Persil "Pro Clean" Sensitive Amazon Prime Special

suds Agreed! Persil does create some suds under certain conditions that Tide HE Turbo doesn't. For now, the GE doesn't mind, however the Kenmore likely will hate it! It's too bad since it really is a good detergent.

Duke’s I have noticed that the stuff is everywhere now! I’m gonna give it a try here soon!

    Liquid detergent with bleaching action?

Wow That is a new one! I didn't think it was all that stable in a liquid form, therefore it was never produced. Although this does not have an activator, it might do well in true hot water.

Costco Platinum Clean I have been using them for the first time and I actually really like them! No odor issues here. Every now and then the top rack will squeak when pulling it out, thats about it.

Hot rinses on a Aussie whirlpool

*drool* Considering the cycle name and intent, I would imagine it is to keep the fibres wide open to allow for greater removal of dirt and grease in the rinse vs cold or warm. I can't think of any other reason. I'm sure if you washed whites with that combo that they would come out blinding...

    Chlorine Bleach

bleach Yes. I have never used as much bleach as I do now. The Kenmore and LG sanitize cycles babied me for years. The GE just can not compare. A lot of loads end up having a little bleach added. I actually really like the Clorox bleach pacs as they are not very strong and seem to not cause any...

Cant get smell out of new Dickies

jeans odor Someone else just posted about this on ths.gardenweb . I had a pair of jeans that had a different kind of wash. They always smelled. I tried ammonia, vinegar, washing in warm and hot, dried them on high, extra rinses, EVERYTHING, and they still smelled. I would actually smell them...

Whirlpool Direct Drive top load washers always smell

odd It is kind of funny you mention this. Our Kenmore DD smelled worse than our Whirlpool Duet ever did. We always used warm washes and either Tide powder or Tide Coldwater liquid (still washed in warm). Lid was always left open, and was in a first floor laundry where it was dry. We were not...

End of ownership review - Miele W1 PowerWash & T1 EcoSpeed

PowerWash Can’t you disable PowerWash in the settings?

Persil Pro Clean Liquid- over suds?

Suds No issues here. It never was an issue in our Duet, either. I do use less Persil than I would Tide. As others have stated, it is more concentrated. Now the Pods? They were horrible. You might want to make sure your towels are thoroughly rinsed.

    Cleancult dishwasher tabs

Pacs We have hard water here, but we have used Cascade Platinum pacs in the KA PowerClean without any issues even when I add 1T of STPP. The 6 minutes is enough to dissolve and clean well when using the Normal cycle. Though, I have experienced major suds issues with them in other machines.

    Reliable dishwasher.

Rental property? Sounds like you need a PowerClean! No filter to maintain, bulletproof, and somewhat fool proof performance.

Andrew Glad to see you posting again! Even more glad you wrote this review! Is the silverware basket able to be separated? It seems rather large!

    Ariel, with Purezyme

Repeat cycles I would imagine over time things could improve more. However, biggest results should occur in the first wash. I am glad to hear you are experiencing that. The machine I used isn’t the cleanest, so that very well could play into it.

    Ariel, with Purezyme

Ariel All-in-1 Pods I was able to do a slightly decent test of the Ariel pods with Phosphodiesterase. I have a load of 7 towels that I was able to get my hands on that have permastink. 5 were previously washed by another person. I washed them in an LG front loader, Normal cycle, warm wash...

    Ariel, with Purezyme

Allows for better clearing Exactly! I’m not sure PDE/DNAse will replace the activity of Lipase 100%. I will need to look into that. Staying at a relatives now. I will likely give the Ariel Pods with PDE a try on some towels. We shall see.

    Ariel, with Purezyme

Degrades DNA Yeah, it does. However, they are using Deoxyribonuclease in inhaler form for patients with Cystic Fibrosis. It can't be *that* bad in minor exposures.

    Ariel, with Purezyme

jaybird14 Welcome! Very interesting to hear about their Chief of Science. Ironically, I just received my first container of booster today! I am running a cycle with towels to just try it out. I don't expect any major results as these towels are still fairly new. The water in the GE does look...
