    Brand NEW Electronic Speed Queens

That comparison was a little off. However on the SQ the spring is very weak, so I think it is ok.

    Brand NEW Electronic Speed Queens

I can tell you the outer tubs can rot out. I am not 100% why my 07 did. I am going to tear down my 2013 model is see if it is starting to. I will say it simply, SQ is the best top loader you can buy today. It is not perfect by any means. There a lots of design shortcomings that even I could...

Speed Queen AWS44NW - Warm Water Rinse Upgrade

I think the labeler is a Dymo or somthing the is close to that. Question, did vintage washers ever have HOT rinse available? I personally don;t need it, but just wondering.

Speed Queen AWS44NW Tub Seal Replacement Issue

To conclude this thread, I will attach some pics and cover just a few points in case someone wants to do this job: 1. The outer tub and stainless inner tub has lifetime warranty, you have to search for a dealer willing. I chose PWS Laundery in califonia. 2. Fluid film brushed on the seam of...

Speed Queen AWS44NW - Warm Water Rinse Upgrade

See attached. Got a factory rocker switch from a awn432sp113tw01 parts list. I pinned a wire into the connector on the timer for the R terminal. It is not used from factory but the timer still has the function inside..... Ran it thru the rocker switch and over to the orange wire on the temp...

    Speed Queen AWS44NW Transmission slop......

That is my point all along. I just compared it to my 2013 model AWN412SP and it has none of this slop in the tranny, however the weldment assy twist and rocks like your video. I guess the extra use it had to rot thru an outer tub, and it being made in 2007 means it must have done a few...

    Speed Queen AWS44NW Transmission slop......

In my opinion, the drive bell seal did not leak so I doubt water got down the tranny stem shaft. I never thought of changing the fluid, as there were no leaks, and I'm of the school of if it ain't broke, don't break it......

    Speed Queen AWS44NW Transmission slop......

The strange part is the brake drum is not moving, the brakes are holding firm. its like the splines / or internal parts of the tranny has slop / play in it.

    Speed Queen AWS44NW Transmission slop......

See Video Here: Got the new outer tub replaced, I did the whole job myself with new hub / lip seal kit, bearing, drive bell and new seal. Followed the online videos in addition to the directions that came in the box. Everything worked out perfect, and the machine runs super smooth and quiet...

Speed Queen AWS44NW Tub Seal Replacement Issue

In all fairness I am not the original purchaser, and local shops keep records. For them to givem me a part under warrenty would cost them man hours. I am doing the job myself because I am mechanical, and do not want to pay someone to do it. I could probably chip in an additional 1/4th and...

Installing Speed Queen Tub Seal kit 766P3A

My only question to you guys, is the online videos do not show you applying sealer to the bottom (outside) of the tub where the bearing goes thru. Rather they have you clean it with alcohol and stick it in. The sealer only goes on the interior of the tub. Why would you not want to put it on...

Speed Queen AWS44NW Tub Seal Replacement Issue

UPDATE: After talking with speed queen tech support, they did agree it is under warranty. The bad new was, none of my locals shops / parts dist / or dealer would get involved. I found a really cool place online called PWS Laundry based out of California. They first verified the warranty, and...

    New awn432sp Speed queen washer

Does anyone know what the newer mechanical models offer that the AWN412 did not? What all was improved?

    Speed Queen Gas Valve Stuck

It helped but did not fix the problem. Another cleaning and more importantly I tightened the springs on the plungers. I listened to my other speed queen and the plungers really made a nice harsh noise on power off. This did not. A quick stretch of the springs and now all is good. I put the...

    Speed Queen Gas Valve Stuck

LaVidaBoem, My username was developed because my first vehicle was a 1986 Ford-F250 with a 6.9L Diesel. Forddiesel69 was taken on the forum I tried to join, so I combined the "d" and it worked. In terms of what you can suggest online, absolutly you can even if it is dangerous. A disclaimer...

Speed Queen AWS44NW Tub Seal Replacement Issue

Speed Queen AWS44NW Tub Seal Replacement Issue

So I got it tore down but my camera died, so here is the deal, the hole in the tub is elongataed, and the bearing no longer fits in the hole snug like in the video. Can anyone confirm if the outer tub is under warranty? If not, this washer is nothing but scrap! It is close the $300 online.

    Speed Queen Gas Valve Stuck

Not the popular choice, but at $194 for a new valve, I tore this down and found the stems to have a rubber pad on the bottom, it looked good. The aluminum sealing surface machined into the valve was corroded, so I cleaned it with 600 grit, and some bar keepers friend on a scotch bright. I then...

Is there a substitute to 3M-560 sealer?

I was told the new hub/lip seal kit for the speed queens do not come with the sealer tube anymore. It is $25 locally, and just a tad cheaper online. Is there anything more affordable that will work?
