Top off, all looking a bit dusty. the machine is very rumply, sounds like the fan, although the belt was very loose. I tried fitting a new one but, although the air flow was much improved, the rumble was still there.

Having just moved into a new house, this was awaiting us and, following advice on this Forum, I understand that they work pretty well and it would be best cleaning it up, replacing worn parts, and using it.

Possibly a long shot but does anyone have a new or used purple plastic timer knib as my one is starting to fall apart internally and is very loose on the shaft. Can anyone help please?

Re Dis you ever find out what the knocking was? Also how is the machine coping with 3 loads a day? I was using a Logic but with its small drum I thought two loads a day was too much and would kill it in a fairly short time. Maybe I'm wrong...
