The end of Kodachrome super 8

Kodachrome is Dead.......... All Kodachrome is gone. I work at Kodak in Rochester, NY and they are indeed discontinuing Kodachrome Film. Its really too bad as its a great film, especially for slides. Its drawback is that its chemically intense and the processing is a three step one verses...

You may be in luck Corey, I think I might have a junk 31 up in the barn that has a bail. I'm at work, but I'll check tonight when I get home. I'll post this evening whether I have it or not. Either way, I'll let you know. I'm pretty sure there is one though. Joe

The find of the year in North Canton!

Color Combo..... Rob and Corey, The colors of that Connie threw me at first. As I was walking over to it, I was thinking "did it get painted?" Only after turning it over did I realize it was a UK machine. Also, before I saw the UK info I briefly thought Canadian model too. Yes, that Connie...

The find of the year in North Canton!

The voltage was 110 because it was sold on a US military base in Germany. I guess it was easier to get vacuums for the military families from Europe than ship them from the States. It does sound a bit different than the US connies. But you have to hear them side by side to hear the difference...

To Get this home..... This British Connie rode hoe in the front with me. I wasn't taking any chances of it bouncing around in the back of the truck on the way home. Here is a pic of it ready to depart Tom's place. Its now safely home in my living room awaiting a spot with my other connies...

Help me buy a good but inexpensive vacuum

Second the Tempo Jason, Go for that Tempo Fred's offering. That is a nice inexpensive machine. Sounds perfect for what you want. Only drawback is that its not retro looking, but the Connie will offer you that. The Tempo, with proper care, will last quite a while. Joe

Help me buy a good but inexpensive vacuum

Temporary? Jason, For what you want and the fact that its temporary, I'd get a Panasonic or one of those cheaper Hoover bagged uprights. The Hoovers will be in Kmart or Wally Mart. The Panasonics would be at vac shops. They should be between $50 and $90, maybe less. The Eureka upright you...
