    Last Weeks Vac Finds

Now For Some Closeups You wanted to see closeups, here they are. The orange Hoover is a u4047 and the Eureka is a ESP model. Pete, that Panasonic looking machine is a Riccar. It was only a couple bucks and I bought it to play with. I don't know much about Riccars. This one is almost a copy of...

    Last Weeks Vac Finds

I'm a bit late, but had a successful holiday weekend junking with my wife. We hit yard sales, flea markets and church sales. It was a fun weekend and we got alot of "stuff". Not all was vacuums. I did get a nice Pioneer reciever at a church sale and some nice older record albums. My vacuum...

Is someone looking for a DAM?? I have some decent ones that can be restored. Or I can clean one up if necessary. Drop me an email and tell me what DAM you have in mind. I have alot of 1140's (blue)and 1149's (green)along with a few u5015's (gold). I have other models, but I'm not sure of their...

    One Man's Junk....

Just look at the bagless machines that have been discarded. Even the newer Eurekas too. It amazes me how people can spend money only to throw the item out after a couple of years. Some may be newer than that. I've been wanting that model of Hoover Slimline for a while and have not been able to...

    One Man's Junk....

A close up Of the keepers. The Hoovers and the Kirby are staying. The other plastic machines go to my buddy's vac shop for parts and or resale. He saves me any vintage vacs he finds. Joe

    One Man's Junk....

Is another's treasure. A friend of ours works for the DPW in a neighboring town. Twice a year the town has a large item trash pickup. It costs the town to get rid of everything they collect, so they are more than willing to save me ALL the vacuums they pick up. Here is day one's pickup. Joe

Finally seeing Fred's collection Fred, You have a very nice collection of vacs! I've heard from Jeff about them and only imagined what you had. Looks great. I like Chestermike's UK Hoovers too. This has been a great post. Thanks Jonbrown for starting it. I'm sure it will go on for a while...

Fab finds from Braun,Waring and Sunbeam

Great finds! Hey Pete! Nice finds! Isn't it a great feeling to come out of a thrift store with something. While I'm not really into the small electrics, it wouldn't be that difficult to cross over to them. Some of the designs are great. When you do move out this way, you'll have to let me know...

Some do have happy endings..... This past weekend we pulled a Model 66 convertible. First pic is from up in the barn. For those who don't know what a model 66 looks like, its got the olive green handle. Most vacs are covered in plastic to keep the bird droppings off. Here is the before shot....

    hoover vacuum cleaner

Not the best shot... Hoovers in waiting. A partial of the junkyard/future project area. Exucse the mess, it is the hayloft of a barn complete with birds. Don't worry the vacs are safe and will clean up. Joe

    A visitor from North Canton

Most expensive find? It would have to be the Nilfisk at $15. Most of the other stuff was less than $10. Some under $5. Those brown Luxes you see are not Olympias. They are the same color, but cheaper models. One has no cord reel, just a strap that you tie the cord bundle with. The other brown...

Sad to see it all end........... Well, Tom is on his way back to North Canton with a trunk full of goodies. I've got some new toys to play with too, but its sad to see it end. Why do all the fun times go by so quickly? Of course, now I can't wait to visit Tom in North Canton this summer...
