I expect my clothes to be slightly under the water. An inch to just touching is enough.

If the machine has dials that have pointers, I'd like one. The pointers and slots in the dials are what I'd use in terms of a clockface.

It's not just silly. It's stupid! Maytag replaced them with Bravos which was even worse. Clothes didn't get covered in water. They just sat there with full loads.
