And proper care of the model T did nothing. We used all 3 temps available on both machines.

Well, the commercial told flat outlies. That's what we're mad about. Take it from somebody who have used these machines. There's nothing innovative about this washer. That squeaking and sawing during agitation was the most annoying of the GE, in addition to the twisting and shaking of the...

I'm sure they did! Whirlpool was the most advanced, hands down.

As most shocking as this sounds, mine outlived my filter-flo. Still, I will not give them a pass. It's rare for any of them.

If any design should be blamed, it's the model T with the reinforcements in the tub. If anybody built the toughest washer in all categories, it was Whirlpool with their design 2000 platform. No wonder why they were the ultimate precision machine unlike GE.

How did you feel about the Whirlpool Clyde plant being 30 football fields with miles of conveyer?

They killed Frigidaire in 1980. It was all their fault!

One thing I didn't like was the suspension strap knocking when agitation started. This was back in 2004 when mine started doing that.

I suspect the same is a cookie cutter response. I believe Frigidaire was the worst of the worst. Look at what GM did!

I could picture the size of the plant as they built millions of these over the years. I remember the Maytag Centennial versions of these.

Okay. Maytag's probably at Clyde by now.

GE tried to compete with both in 1995 onwards with their plastic tub models, claiming to have a 3.2 cubic feet capacity washtub.
