Over the range, microwave ovens, etc.

Our GE has a 5 speed exhaust. It's very adequate. My only gripe is the door is wide because the controls run along the bottom. If you have a tight galley or a U kitchen footprint, don't get this type of door. Glad we have a wide open gourmet kitchen, being cooks and bakers.

Dishwashers losing popularity in US Homes???

I don't need the quietist, but I would like fan drying, temp. boost, and a sanitize cycle. Fan drying is on models over $800.

John, I used to see the 1980's Thermador ovens in every Home-a-rama show home. Timeless classics!

    WHAT would YOU do?

I was born 3/20/1960 at 5:10 a.m. The Pittsburgh roads were icy and snowy. My dad's 1955 Bel Air spun out once on the way to the hospital into a front yard. I have the total bill receipt for the delivery charge, doctors fee, and overnight stay. $148. Blue Cross insurance.

No jrap330, The machine isn't worth a service call or repair. It still saving time and work. The prewash is 2 minutes. I add more water after detergent dumps, then in about 42 minutes after main wash.

    Chevy Nova, 1968-'79

Granada's, Monarchs and the Versailles were nice for the price. Based on the Falcon and Maverick platform which was dated, but they got rack and pinion steering at least. The Cimarron did get the V6.

    WHAT would YOU do?

My dad lived to be 85. I hope I do as well. So I have 19 years if I do. Not that long. I am Mike. Matt must be a Pisces? His affect, attitudes, and personality remind me of my deceased friend whose birthday was March 6th. Thankfully, I am the last day of that sign. More of an Aires.

In 1984, the Nova was a joint venture with Toyota. It was a front drive 4 door sedan Corolla with Chevy badging. Built at Freemont California, then New United Motor Manufacturing, is today Tesla. It was enough of a success along with the Isuzu sourced spectrum, and Storm, that GM decided to spin...

    Chevy Nova, 1968-'79

Right! My friends dad worked at Cadillac and I remember him saying they were having problems with the port injection. The last 425, and the 368, did have a Rochester Quadrajet carb. When the E body cars were redesigned and the Riviera got front drive, the Olds 350, then the 307 was used. So the...

Not for me. Life is short. I want to enjoy it now. I'm out of the rat race. Any of us can wake up one morning to suffering a T.I.A. like my brother in law Sunday morning. He's only 66. Or a stroke, or coronary, etc. He doesn't care either now. Not watching news, doesn't want to know it.

TAG, you're half correct. The 1975 Seville did have throttle body fuel injection, but the engine was an Olds 350, not a Chevrolet. Quite different. Positive valve lifter rotation, different heads, manifolds, block. Distributor rotated in the opposite direction.

GE changed the fill valve part number, but it fit. Control board had a 5 year warranty I remember. It was an $800 machine in 2010-11.

    new dishwasher

I'm putting up with our 15 year old GE Profile until it dies. The dishes always get clean. The only issue is I have to add two tall glasses of hot water before starting, and for the main wash, and sometimes the first rinse. If the tap water isn't hot enough, the dispenser won't sump the...

Very few put a roast or a turkey in a microwave. We use it for reheating, thawing, melting, boiling a cup or 2 of water, and only cook fresh veggies in it. The turntable can be shut off, and a 13x9" dish fits. I do like the drawer type though.
