    New Miele washer and dryer!

I would visit the Miele web site and look at the models, then download the owner manuals and read through them. The manuals will list the different cycles available for each model and also state what options each have. This way you will be able to get one that has what you want on it because...

    New Miele washer and dryer!

My previous washer was a 240v Miele 1986. The highest temperature it had was cotton 190F. I used this a few times to wash cleaning towels and a time or two to wash a stained t-shirt. It would complete a wash and three rinses in about 70 minutes. This was not a temperature that I used a lot...

    New Miele washer and dryer!

I have the WWH860 washer, a model released before yours but I think the cycles are the same. There might be differences between them but here is how I use mine. I have the washer plugged into a Kill-O-Watt meter which measures the electricity being consumed by the washer. The meter is set to...

Dawn Dish Spray - "This is our Pods launch"

Dawn Power Dissolver Five Years? Really? It took them 5 years to develop the dish spray, yet they made a similar product called Dawn Power Dissolver that you sprayed on pans without water. You spray the pans, let them sit for about 5 to 10 minutes, then any grease or burned on food could be...

    Effectiveness of DW pre-rinses/pre-washes

The Miele I have, the G6987, will do two prewashes on the pots and pans cycle. It takes 1 gal each followed by 1 gallon to wash and .8 gal for the rinses of which it does 2. The first prewash lasts 18 minutes, the second 10 minutes. I don't think the heater is on for the prewashes. If I use...

    New Front Loader Quest

When the Whirlpools default to 2 rinses can you get an extra one and make that 3 rinses? What about temperatures how high do they heat the water for the extra white load?

Henrik Are you comparing Elux and LG in the USA or in the EU?

    Miele G7100SCi

Discolorization is from the curry paste. One hit of that will turn things. Probably combined with an ingredient in the dye in the detergent caused the green tint.

6987 sump For comparison, I took a pic of the sump on my 69XX model which is one series below yours. I don't think this one has the NTC in the sump either, so I don't know where it is, perhaps near the pump? The image got slightly rotated to the side during the upload. The pump intake is at...

    New Front Loader Quest

Look dumbed down but..... You said the Miele models looked dumbed down. I thought so too until I went to the Miele web site and looked at each model. I downloaded the owner’s manual for each one and looked it over. Read the first half which explains how to use it, then go to the Program cycle...

    My new matched laundry set!

Heats one time I think I read that your LG washer heats the water one time. Is that correct? Is every program like that? If so, since the programs are in the 2 to 3-hour range doesn't that mean the water and clothes can cool down to cold before the end of a wash?

    Miele G7100SCi

Correction from my post above. This is a 69XX model and it does have the same optical sensor in the sump that you have, but no pausing the spray.
  14. J

    Miele G7100SCi

Yes, I had the earlier model with the sensor on the right upper side, no pausing for that one either. I just thought that with this 6xxx one, with the sensor in the sump there might be pausing during the spray, but there is not.

    Miele G7100SCi

Thanks, Henrik. I was wondering because mine doesn't seem to do any pauses, so I haven't figured out how it is sensing the soil unless it is by looking at the water as it runs by in the sump. I know it is sensing though because it does vary the number of after rinses and the length of...

    Bob Load Thread anyone?

Dishes If you are referring to the plates with a red pattern, the back of them says it was Van Beers. I have a set of these dishes that were made in Indonesia but I only use a few pieces. My kitchen cabinets are like a Wedgewood blue but a little lighter, so I use the blue set more. All of my...

    Miele TwinDos-Empty Bottles

If these are designed to be used in another country I don't think they will fit.

    Miele G7100SCi

Thanks for the picture of the sump Henrik. I misspoke when I said my model will only do 1 prewash. I had the short option enabled and thus 1 prewash. It will do up to 2 prewashes on Automatic and always do 2 prewashes on Pots and Pans(intensive). When the quick option is enabled you get 1...

    Bob Load Thread anyone?

Clean load Here is the load after it was washed, except for the bowl that was covering the glasses on the left, in the middle basket. I used it to store leftover lunch in.
