More twin tubs now in Oz.

I remember a National Twin Tub that had Electronic controls, i found a pic of it through the Searchalator. Also Whirlpool twin tubs in India (i think) feature full size agitators which is pretty cool. I remember an old school Hitachi twinnie that sat in the corner of our scout hall broken for...

Retooled Speed Queen Website: New Models On Parade

I am in LOVE with the black consoled front loader washer they have on the website. I clicked on the Build Your Own link and it was in there. It looks very stylish. Also I read that the spin speed on the front loaders has gone up to 1200 has opposed to 1000 rpms! If they came to australia in that...

Good Ideas Twin Tub Washing Machine

I had a very similar one to that only a bit more basic. I loooved it! Great for just doing your socks and undies in steaming hot water while your other clothes wash in the automatic. Did a brilliant job! I'm considering getting another one as now some of them have pumps and the ability to run...

Portable WASHER/DRYER COMBO Small Load - $125 (Deshler)

These are really cool in that they have an automatic wash and rinse. So it will auto fill and drain to rinse the clothes after washing, all I would need to do is come along and put them in the spinner at the end :-) Mr Toggleswitch I believe had one similar and made a video. I'll share it below...

    Hoover Logic 1000

I watch my washer all the time. In fact I get a bit annoyed if I've set it going and I have to go out lol. And if I'm watching TV while the washers on I'll be popping in and out to watch it. My partners very used to it and doesn't say anything apart from occasionally saying "is it still alive?" Lol

Daily Mail on BEKO hazardoous appliances!!!!

I did like my Beko washer for the most part it was just a few niggling things that annoyed me enough to replace it. The lack of ability to spin the simplest loads was the biggest. Bedding was a no no and often resulted in a complete 'abandon spin' or a spin at 400rpm. Towels were hit and miss...

    White Knight (Philco) WM1000E

I don't remember much about it apart from the fact that they had it for at least 10 years and then replaced it with a Hotpoint. I remember it was a lot quieter than our Hoover Ecologic we had lol Hopefully you are planning to film a wash ? :-) Matt

    White Knight (Philco) WM1000E

My Aunt and Uncle had the Philco branded version with 1000rpm spin, added temperature dial and Super Rinse button. Looked identical to this style. I remember them having that from when I was about 6 or 7 and thats 20 years ago. So early 90's approx??? Matt

Zerowatt making pulsator and agitator washers in Asia...who knew???

Another Hitachi machine I used had slightly different agitation. It was very fast with fairly long strokes. THAT particular machine did seem to be a bit too rough. I remember a few of my shirts losing buttons and fraying at the bottom after being in this machine. It was only quite a small...

Zerowatt making pulsator and agitator washers in Asia...who knew???

I have had both Hoover and Hitachi machines and found neither damaged my clothes at all. I found i needed shorter wash times as the agitation was so strong in fact. Both machines did great jobs on heavy soiled loads with only the occasional stubborn item needing an extra soak or re-wash. That...

    Creda debonair autopump clothes spinner

No problem Simon. I originally had the stainless steel model but because I was the first person to buy one in australia and wrote reviews for them they sent me a free white model a year later which was very nice. Both models are great and the stainless had slightly more capacity which was great...
