Samsung top load washer model #WA50R5400AW/US serial #01G357BN100377A

Samsung is junk. They fail all the time. They have the worst suspension rods ever. The pumps are also known to go out as well as the boards. The older ones were known to explode. Samsung makes good electronics, but their appliances suck. The top loaders are more reliable than the front loaders...

“if I remove this silver pan, Will I get the things that have fallen between my drum and washing machine”

I know, but the coins get collected underneath the washplate and it can be replaced. Removing the transmission (which she calls “the silver pan”) isn’t the solution. Removing the transmission is only necessary if the seal, bearing, or clutch is bad. Also, surprised that the bearings are good...

“if I remove this silver pan, Will I get the things that have fallen between my drum and washing machine”

This is probably the most wrong thing I heard someone say about a washing machine, watch it. They have a Whirlpool VMW washer that’s shaking violently and she says “if I remove this silver pan, Will I get the things that have fallen between my drum and washing machine”. The real solution is to...

Samsung top load washer model #WA50R5400AW/US serial #01G357BN100377A

Anyways, let’s go back to washing machines. I wouldn’t recommend the Mideas either. They are not that reliable and parts may not always be available.

I guess Samsung makes bad TVs also. So, it’s only their phones that are good. I own a Samsung phone, and an iPad. I honestly prefer Android over iOS, but I did and do have iOS devices, like I have an iPad 9 and I did have an iPod at one point. But, I will NOT buy an iPhone. I don’t get the hype...

The GE HydroWave: One of the worst washers ever

That seems to be how spray rinses should be. Spray rinsing seems to be almost like bath vs shower is both are done correctly. Despite my hatred for the latest Whirlpool, the reason for my username whirlpool862 is because I own a VMW and I once had a direct drive, and I love the direct drive and...

Samsung top load washer model #WA50R5400AW/US serial #01G357BN100377A

Yep. Samsungs are TERRIBLE. The front loaders are even worse. Every appliance from Samsung is junk, their fridges are, their ranges are, their dishwashers are. The latest Whirlpools are just as bad. The LG washers are actually okay, but the sound they make can be kind of annoying. They make this...

Samsung top load washer model #WA50R5400AW/US serial #01G357BN100377A

That model was released in 2019 I think. Samsungs are junk. Don’t buy another Samsung. Buy a Speed Queen, or buy something used (don’t buy one from homeowner, but one from reputable sales dealer), you can also try GE (but, do NOT buy the fancy one, those ones can literally blow up on the spin...

    Modern Whirlpool

Bad bearings. If it leaks also then the seal has failed too.

2022 Maytag Washer Sounds Like a Jet Engine

Bad bearings. Common on the VMAX machines.

    Modern Whirlpool

Either model-T or HydroWave if it was a top loader, or potentially the GE Harmony. Not good units.

Did older washers ever get seal and bearing issues?

I’ve heard that sound on some direct drives

Did older washers ever get seal and bearing issues?

So, the reason why those older machine sometimes squealed on spin cycle was because of the bad center bearing.
  14. W

    Modern Whirlpool

Was it noisy on spin cycle? Did it have an agitator or not? Was it a VMW or some older unit?

Did older washers ever get seal and bearing issues?

Where were the center post bearings located anyway? Were they bearing sleeves or were they like a ball bearing?

Did older washers ever get seal and bearing issues?

This might be true, same might apply to direct drives.

Did older washers ever get seal and bearing issues?

That is indeed a bearing roar. I think these had the bearing in the transmission. Older units can get bearing issues. I was mainly referring to direct drive and belt drive WP’s, the GE Filter Flos and Maytag dependable cares. These WCI Frigidaires sometimes got bearing issues, both the older...

Did older washers ever get seal and bearing issues?

Also, can you provide a link to that YouTube video?

Did older washers ever get seal and bearing issues?

So, that’s why they didn’t roar. So, bad bearings on those units would have kind of a squeal or other sound to it, they had different bearings. They just didn’t have ball bearings. So older belt drive and direct drive still had bearing issue, it just didn’t have the roar of a bad ball bearing...

Did older washers ever get seal and bearing issues?

I’m not sure if the direct drive even has ball bearings. I think they do have sleeve bearings that can go bad. I just didn’t know enough about washers when I was younger. My parents had a vintage whirlpool belt drive and it never had a bearing roar to it.
