i wish they coukd bring back classic washers and dryers with electro mechanical timer

I'm just happy that the history happened and I'm looking forward to the future. My LG is the best set my house has ever seen since 1991 and chances are that if I replace them later, the new set would be even better.

Speed Queen TC5 Anniversary and sudsing issue.

If I ever get a SQ top loader for my next house, I might just do what this person did where I wouldn't have to worry about the suds issue.

    Samsung is Junk!

Did that microwave ended up replacing your old Radarange? I used to watch your YouTube channel a while ago and I remembered you made a video of one.

    Samsung is Junk!

My uncle's Samsung certainly outlasted two of my brother's Whirlpools and they were both bought before 2023, as a result he bought a LG. As far as I'm concerned, I'm not as comfortable buying a SQ anymore today due to the amount of problems they have in their electronics and for how expensive...

    Samsung is Junk!

My uncle still has his WF395BTPAWR/A2 front loader from early 2010's. I don't care what anybody says but I really like it. I also like some of their vacuums they've made for both Bissell and Kenmore. And my sister has a Samsung OTR microwave since she moved into her condo back in 2019, still...

Over the range, microwave ovens, etc.

I prefer OTR microwaves over countertops. They clear counterspace, keeps all the cooking in one zone, and I like the capacity they have if I were to keep two things inside to stay warm. Rarely I use microwaves but the OTR ones has good enough excuses whether that's using the vent, hood light, or...

    new dishwasher

I did thought about getting another KitchenAid. Until I believe it was Dan who pointed out a serious design flaw the newer models had. Now I'm less comfortable buying one should the time ever come to replace my other KitchenAid. I think if I had to get a brand new dishwasher today, it appears...

The GE HydroWave: One of the worst washers ever

No issues. We left the set behind when we sold our cabin.

The GE HydroWave: One of the worst washers ever

This thread makes me miss my old T set even more now. Also makes me want to find one to have as my ideal basement set as well preferably this one since I always have a blast using it at my cousin's cabin.

    Most Maddening Washer Commerical

The other week I had an opportunity to go use that Milnor washer again but I brought some old moving blankets I'm sure has never been washed before. I used some Tide Ultra OXI liquid detergent, I poured in about 2-3 lines of detergent for the first wash and they looked like chocolate milk...

    Most Maddening Washer Commerical

I go volunteer at a place once a week to do laundry and they have Speed Queen machines that are branded as Unimac. I'm sure no doubt commercial machines like those last longer, we still have to do laundry properly. For example we can only load in 15 towels per washer, otherwise they wouldn't...

    Most Maddening Washer Commerical

Those are commercial models. Likely from clueless people who doesn't know how to do laundry properly. That can happen to any washer really, even seen a video of a DD that failed from abuse. I'm convinced that as long as you take care of them, they'd last longer than you'd think like mine or...

    My brand new LG WM4200

I think that's the model where if I were to buy another LG, it'd be one of those preferably in white since I don't think it's worth paying a hundred more in black steel. I rarely use the light on mine but at least it's good to know that I can get a magnetic light if I ever wanted to. Enjoy your...

Mine was definitely from the 80's. As you can clearly see, it's since gotten replaced. Personally, if we still owned that cabin today, I would've rather had gotten a T series or better yet a front loader instead of a shredmore.

Lol if those FF machines were truly built to last, then mine would still be alive at the cabin but it's not there anymore. The GE at the other cabin I showed earlier I'm sure has now outlasted the FF.

Lol I couldn't tell a difference. But my Kenmore is WAY too aggressive, I agree with one user who called those machines shredmore. I definitely had things shred on mine before but never on a GE T series. That's one of the reasons why I'm thinking about retiring my machine.

    GE Washers Exploding

If I had to do monthly maintenance on my machine, may as well should just go to the laundromat.

Lol this one has been working great after all these years. Honestly if these were still being made today, I'd rather buy one to replace my Kenmore 90 Series instead of fixing it up.

    LG WM4200HW

My LG will be 6 years old at the end of the year. Other than the pump it had replaced, still works great. Hopefully it's nothing major.

    GE Washers Exploding

All of this reminds me of an episode from Seinfeld where Kramer loaded a bag of concrete mix in a top loader. Even though I laughed, I'd never do such a thing to my machine. As long as you take care of your machine and don't put things in there than you shouldn't, they'd certainly last longer...
