This past weekend my 2002 Whirlpool washer/ dryer -TOL- aka crap ....bit the dust...my sister bought this set for me as a house warming present back in March 2002....THANK GOD...I had my 1987 Whirlpool set that my mother had given me several months ago.....I moved the 2002 set out and cleaned up...

AWESOME SET....ENJOY THEM EVERYDAY.....They look as if they were on a showroom floor for Frigidaire....

Love this Frigidaire set for 1961....I was told it is called a 'Clam Shell" due to the control panels...is this set as rare as most of the late 50's or early 60's Frigidiare's...does anyone have this set? I would love to some actual pictures of a 1961 set...

My mother was asking me if I knew of anyone that had any Frigidaire "poppy" colored appliances that they would sell...I told her that it was probably getting harder and harder to find especially -fridges...in fact I would love to find a poppy washer /dryer but I know there are so many like...

Since I just got my 60 CI Frigidaire dryer ....I would love to have the matching washer -60 CI Frigidaire washer...I am dreaming I know....but it is worth a Christmas wish...LOL....If I got it I would definitely believe in Christmas miracles!

Hey Malcom....it is electric..thanks for the suggestion....

I was given an old Frigidaire clock ( crown on top off F ) it is red,white/blue...the problem is that the entire inside is messed up but the face of the clock is fine...should I just throw it away... I serious doubt that it can be repaired...any thoughts or suggestions? I think my friend got it...

I want to thank Robert for creating a forum / website / community where people like myself can express themselves with a hobby as great as collecting vintage appliances, items,etc...I have had so many people roll their eyes when I tell them that I collect vintage appliances..THANK YOU ROBERT...

Jetcone...LOL....Thanks for the reply....She knows I have always liked vintage washers & dryers....she was glad to give them to me and keep them in the family..my sister surprized her and bought her a new Whirlpool Cabrio set...she really does not like the Cabrio set she would prefer the old WP...

Thanks for all the kind remarks....this set is super special to me...nothing but good memories....my grandmother also lived with my mother and loved this set too! She passed about 4 years after they were bought...but she did give them a workout on a daily basis...

James....Thanks so much for the nice comments...actually this set is not from my childhood...I was actually in my 20's when my mother bought this set but it was nice that I was able to keep these in the family...We had a 1968 Frigidaire Rapid Dry washer and matching dryer when I was growing...
