A big thanks to Will for saving this Lady Kenmore and allowing me to relocate it to its retirement home in southeast Texas. I’ll make a post on it in the imperial forum.

Thanks for always thinking of me launderess. These are 1976 models so if the washer was built before 1978 it is the large capacity before they shrunk. I may have to have these.

And with a gas dryer! This is one of the sets I’d still like to add to the collection. I know these are around 37 years old but the exteriors are pretty worn.

It is not normal for water to be in the screw area on the kenmore agitator shown in the original post. There is a seal on the bottom of the fabric softener dispenser which is part of the agitator cap on this model.

Great job! What a great piece of appliance history.

You sure can tell when appliances were gently used or just well taken care of.

I guess I should’ve looked at the above pictures before answering questions from memory. Lol This washer does not have an out of balance switch.

They run I just need to go through them so they will run for the next 50 years.

They are in storage patiently waiting restoration. The washer ran fine with a tub seal leak so it needs to be gone through. I want to say it does have an out of balance switch but it’s been a couple of years since I looked at this one.

I think this one was built in 1968 if I remember correctly. Hers must’ve been very early seventies to have the super roto swirl.
