Thanks hvtech42. I did some searching around, the GE website says it's no longer available. Other sites also seem to be void of having it as well. Between the frustration of searching, looking it up, and my friend's attitude towards just buying a whole new machine, I'm ready to end this nightmare.

UPDATE: My friend finally found the MODEL NUMBER of his dishwasher. It's Hotpoint model HDA2220Z00BB. I found the Owners Manual online, and also a part number for the leaking door gasket. WD08X10007 NLA, but replaced by WD0X10016 The owners manual is dated 1997, and also references under the GE...

Thanks, bigalsf. I mentioned your suggestions to my friend, and he will get back to me once he does that. I told him to also note any of the controls and graphics locations on the front panel to help with this. This may be a 1960's model too, but we'll see.

Yes, my KDS 19 is built to outlast me! I love it! The dishes etc are always perfectly cleaned. Air drying is good, but tilting glasses or pots so water doesn't pool up helps.
