Why Has Whirlpool Never Sold a BOL Power Clean Module?

At times, I load my gourmet pots, trays, and frying pans, and the "stuck on" food from cooking/baking is difficult to loosen. Surely no dishwasher's got enough of water pressure to remove that grime. Maybe a garden "pressure washer" would do something.

Why Has Whirlpool Never Sold a BOL Power Clean Module?

I always do a quick scrape-rinse on dishes and pots before I load them in the dishwasher. The garbage disposal can deal with any chunks that come off. Besides, the DW filter screen never gets clogged up.

    Kitchenaid KDI-19....need some knowledge.

Thanks Dan. I was assuming it was earlier, because the custom kitchen was done by the previous owners in 1971, because marked on the back of the "junk drawer" someone wrote the date of cabinet installation. By the way, my mistake, the inside label says " KDC-19 "

    Number PULEAZE! Part Seven:

Well, I guess I'll admit that I'm an Old School retired old codger..... Yes, I've got a nice white 1970's touch-tone Princess on the side table in my living room. And I use it almost daily. And as they used to advertize.... "It's Little, It's Lovely, It lights! :)

    Kitchenaid KDI-19....need some knowledge.

My 1971 KD19 by Hobart is a real gem, and a pleasure to own. Best dishwasher in the world as far as I'm concerned.

Why Has Whirlpool Never Sold a BOL Power Clean Module?

In addition to Chetlaham's post #22, and Vacerator's post #25, I got to thinking.... (a dangerous thing, mind you!) The global complacency, and as mentioned, the culture, surely isn't what it used to be. My views are that a large part of society, have adopted that "Dumbing Down" syndrome, and...

Why Has Whirlpool Never Sold a BOL Power Clean Module?

It seems to me, a person who bases things on logic and common sense, that a great reputation for a company is aquired by having a strict set of codes. Like.... *Not falling to greedy temptations. *Appreciating the customer's positive feedback, knowing it's the difference between sink or swim...

    GE A/Cs : 1950s-1991

I tend to agree on the ozone propoganda. Freon in AC units at that time could "ice up" if the filter got clogged. That cold air that they put out was noticeably colder then these modern units. My 2006 and 2008 GE a/c's do a good job, however putting a hand in front of the output doesn't feel as...

    KitchenAid KDS-21 Buttons

That "trigger" plunger operates the main power switch, it kills power if the door is opened or not closed fully. If you open the door slowly to load dishes, you'll hear a little "click" upon opening or closing the door. The switch could be bad too. Same goes for the door handle lock - also a...

    KitchenAid KDS-21 Buttons

If it's just the buttons, they can be cleaned/serviced, I did mine, cleaned the contacts, etc. I also took apart the timer mech and cleaned all the contacts, but that's a tough job, even for me, experienced in electronics.

    GE A/Cs : 1950s-1991

Thanks, of course I'm not aware of such things. Most people aren't, they go by brand names when they look for something.

    GE A/Cs : 1950s-1991

Yes, that's when I bought my 4000 BTU Carry Cool! I remember the ads in the paper and on TV..... and the price of $99 was just what my 18 year old mind was drawn to!

Why Has Whirlpool Never Sold a BOL Power Clean Module?

Companies make different "tier levels" of products with specific features in order to attract a certain customer base. Another one of the marketing gimmics is to draw, or entice a customer who wants "cheaper" models, to a more expensive model. It's part of a human psychological game. Like in my...

    GE A/Cs : 1950s-1991

For a CEO of GE to state something like that, the guy must have been on drugs. I can understand that "some people" are sensitive, and dislike air conditioning. But to drop a product, a product that zillions of people want, from a company that's been in the electrical products industry since...

    GE A/Cs : 1950s-1991

I had a GE Carry Cool 4000 BTU A/C (with the handle on top) that I purchased in 1971 for my bedroom at my parents house. I paid $99 for it, at 18 years old, I was working and spending wisely. It served me well in that small bedroom for years, and when I moved, I took the GE with me every time I...

    Home Emergency Lights

UGH! While your post was honestly made to help and suggest solutions to others, it strikes a sour note with me with the mention of solar power. This is because I'm bombarded almost daily with the same annoying "Solar Energy" phone calls, attempting to get me to purchase and have installed those...

Both my Speed Queen units stop working I don't know what I'm missing or doing wrong - Please help.

And to add to the previous suggestions above, most homeowners don't know much about how the home's wired concerning the breakers and romex feeds thoughout the house. That all depends on what electrician (or backyard handyman) did the work. In fact, my own home's got a few single pole 20A...
