NEW NEVER INSTALLED OLDER KITCHENAID DISHWASHER

I wish he would ship: This is a KUDS-23 Architect series and they are VERY reliable. They are Powerclean based. My MIL has had one for over 20 years now with no service calls. Only issue is the porcelain wearing off the inner door. Only KA I have ever seen do that. I am guessing that is a...

Newbie needs help with KDS-18 not cleaning dishes

It is very likely you are losing pressure at the lower WA: Listen as the machine is filling and if you hear a clunking sound as the pump catches prime that is a worn out Lower wash arm popping up and hitting the lower rack. This is how I figured out that my Mom's KDP-20 needed a new arm...

    Single speed kenmore?

24# DD WP/KM washer That is a 2 speed machine unless it has been modified. WK78

Newbie needs help with KDS-18 not cleaning dishes

Sounds like a spray system problem: It is not uncommon for the bakelite hub of the lower wash arm to go out of round which will cause water to spray back into the wash tank instead of up through the arms. This reduces pressure to both arms and can cause the lower arm to stall instead of...

My year 2000 Kirkland washer I acquired yesterday..

Good find: You will really like that machine. You will also find three improvements over the MT. The WP will wash much larger loads, clean and rinse better and be easier to fix. Also parts are very easy and inexpensive to find for these machines. WK78

    What? No more warm water?

Cold Wash: Not a chance! My SQ FL does 99% hot (140 water washes) with an occasional warm. This cold wash bullshit is nothing but that. WK78

arrow indicationg spin direction on frontloader washers

Arrows on washer doors: IIRC this is to check spin rotation to be sure a 3 phase machine is wired correctly.

    What Brand Are These Washers?

DAMN! Good job Robert I thought they were Norge. I did not know Apex made a commercial washer. WK78

Meandering- 70s Laundromat with Maytags disconnected

Cool Laundry: Nice to see some vintage machines still in use. If I was to do laundry there I would go for one of those beautiful Huebsch machines or the SQ FL machines. WK78

Kenmore Dishwasher and some brand stove

RUN AWAY! Both are a pile of s#it, I would not waste my time on either one. Not interested in a DW that will flood my kitchen or a stove that will likely leak gas and blow my house up. WK78

    If you had to choose...

Speed Queen FL! There is no better washer EVER made for the domestic market. If you need a washer that can process quickly and thoroughly large amounts of laundry in a domestic setting on a continuous basis there is no better choice. Also if you are looking for something dependable to avoid...

Very Special & Unique Speed Queen Commercial Washer

125# SQ shift from 400 to 800 extract speed: 3 phase motor sounds like a jet engine! Rugs were nearly dry after 397 G-Force spin. If I had the space and the electrical hookups I would but that 50# unit in a heartbeat. WK78

Very Special & Unique Speed Queen Commercial Washer

Here is a video of the 125# version in service: These are the most amazing washers I have ever used. WK78

Very Special & Unique Speed Queen Commercial Washer

SQ Commercial Washer: WOW! Good find Launderess. It is most likely made in the 80's. There were very well made and good performing machines. I worked with 2 of the 125# versions and they were great. Not hard to fix either. The buttons across the top allow the operator to use the machine...

    Kitchenaid Superba Washer Set

KA DD Motor: Not entirely the same. Your machine requires a 3 speed motor to work as designed. Most DD machines used a 2 speed motor. The reason for this is that "high" agitation on this machine is the same as low on a WP or KM DD. This is due to the larger agitator base. WK78

Anyone know about the KitchenAid washing machine - KAWS700 series? Recommended or not?

ABSOLUTELY GET IT: One of the best TL AWs ever made hands down! With the amount you do laundry it should last for easily another 15 years, more if in good condition. NO TL made today can mathch the washing ability of this machine. WK78

Help I need to choose a new washer asap!

A Huebsch/SQ front loader is the best way to go. It is the only machine made for domestic use that is a TRUE COMMERCIAL WASHER only without a coin meter. This being said this washer should last 30-50 years depending on usage and water conditions. WK78

    Incoming Water Tap Temps....

Water temps in my house: Prior lake MN Cold Water 39F (4C) Hot water 140F (60C) Laundry washed in 60C water Dishwasher fills with hot water and washes @ 60C using Sani Rinse rinses @ 70 C. Water temp in Minneapolis will vary based on the river temp and ice pack near the intakes, WK78

    Nice pair of DD Kenmores

VERY nice set! Those will provide many years of thoroughly cleaned, rinsed and accurately dried laundry with proper care. Just know that being 25 plus years old they may need refurbishing to be daily drivers. Once this is done they could last another 12-15 years. WK78
