    Today's POD Lady Executive

Thank you Ben, for the technical info on the how the filter works. Fascinating! More effective than Norge/Wards design but yes, probably prone to clogging, etc.

    Today's POD Lady Executive

Please Remind Me Again... I am fascinated by the “burp up” filter but it’s not like a Norge/Wards that only works with one agitator stroke. How did Hotpoint manage the constant filtering?

    Picking Up Dream Machine

And it is a Dream Machine!!! You will love that machine. As I said in an earlier thread, I have the same model and love the flexibility of wash/spin speed cycles. And of course the beguiling loud sounds it makes is heavenly, not to mention superior lint extraction and cleaning power! Cheers...

Dishwasher with window and lighted interior

And what brand was that DW in one of the very first episodes of “Bewitched?” I always thought manufacturers ditched the windows because seeing food particles splattered around isn’t all that appealing..?

Whirlpool Imperial Mark 18 - She runs!

Beautiful ‘Pools! Such nice machines. Norge/Wards had the same “pulsed” dial. It would make a loud click, then advance. I’m still fascinated to this day!

    Movies with Appliances Being Used

And I recall a lovely TOL Whirlpool washing machine co-starring with Doris Day in a “Happy Soap” commercial in the 1963 movie “The Thrill of it All.”

Still No Sign of the 1977-1983 Kelvinator "Angel-Wing" agitator

Is This Close? Here is the agitator in my Wards apartment-size washer. Not sure of year but most likely late 70s-early 80s. I believe WCI is the manufacturer of this machine. (And I also have a ‘85 Whirlpool washer with the “double-duty” winged agitator).

    Maytag A511 Agitator Question

Ralph, I believe you are correct in that the blue tub indicates standard and white indicates larger capacity. Perhaps the “ex large” setting was a marketing gimmick?
