    Whirlpool Belt Drive Washer!

    That washer is a direct drive model the size of the lid and the style of the control panel are dead give aways to that fact. The last of the belt drive Whirpools had the same control panel as the dryer that is for sale with this washer..........PAT COFFEY

    This washer dates from circa 1959 and it was replaced by the A700 circa 1960........ I think the only difference between the 142 and the A700 were some mechanical refinements...am I right Maytag guys??????....Pat Coffey

    Ovrphil I know EXACTLY HOW you got that date..... you got it from the bottom of the sticker that is right above the data plate on the back of the Radarange...if you look at picture #8 you will see that date at the bottom of the white sticker with the red print.......Pat Coffey

    Actually Overphil the Radarrange you posted in post #43 was manufactured in June 1976...that is according to the sticker in picture # 7 that you posted...it clearly states the date of manufacture at the bottom of the sticker......PAT COFFEY

    Jeannine, I do not see why it would not work if.... you screwed the opposite end of the wire into the screw hole that holds the outlet cover in place that the fridge is plugged into instead of into the stove.....I know thats what my folks always did with the ground wire on the washing machines...

    This may or may not help but here’s what worked for me.... when my 1957 GE Fridge started doing the same thing...I was told by a man with a background in nuclear medical equipment maintenance to remove a screw from the back of the fridge, stick the end of a wire in the hole, replace the screw...

    The pink interior and revolving shelves indicate that the fridge is from 1957 NOT 1960...GE fridges went to swing out shelves in 1959, the same year they introduced Frostguard...PAT COFFEY

    Let me get this straight........ RCA NEVER Owned Whirlpool, they were just 20% stockholders and had two people on the Whirlpool board and Whirlpool used the RCA logo on appliance from 1956 through 1967....its nice to finally have the mystery solved..... PAT COFFEY
