1964 Frigidaire Frost Proof - HELP

I bet the thermostatic control is behind that plastic panel. The aluminum cover is likely the cover that goes over the sensor for the bulb. If the airflow control door stays closed, you can try to adjust it as I described to see if it opens at lower temperatures, if readjusting to the coldest...

1964 Frigidaire Frost Proof - HELP

Here it is in the position it should be adjusted from the factory. At room temperature, it still stays fully open but it closes too fast (when the temperature in the fridge is at about 46°F). Adjusting the thermostat knob has almost no effect on the temperature in the refrigerator secion as it's...

1964 Frigidaire Frost Proof - HELP

I have the Canadian equivalent of this fridge which is in a different cabinet that's 32" wide rather than 30" (yours is also a 1965 model, not a 1964 but it was likely made in 1964). I'm not sure if yours is the same but some models had a thermostatic airflow control for the refrigerator...

    Electrical question about Frigidaire dryer

I'm a bit curious about models with an automatic setting. What happens if they're wired on 120 volts? Will the heat from 1100 watts be enough for the thermostat to make the timer advance?

That's very interesting! Thanks for sharing. I have looked at your other Youtube videos and I'll have to look more!

Multiple outlets throughout the years - a sample

The benchmaster doesn't look like the other Fedtro products! I'm just trying to imagine what could happen with the other units when plugged to a 20 amp receptacle with a toaster and an electric kettle!

    Frigidaire DW

Eh, first, when I got it, it was non-working, then I replaced the pump impeller and it did work. But as for performance, I guess it depends of what you expect from a dishwasher! Capacity is OK but this Custom Deluxe has the rear half of the rack split because of the fixed spray tower. Some more...

This Philco AC Came Home Again

I'm sure that when John uses it, he figures something to do with the water so it doesn't go down the drain immediately while it's warmed!

This Philco AC Came Home Again

Good save. I'm always wondering about power cords being cut on appliances. I always have the feeling something must be really wrong with it for someone to do that but more than a few times I've been pleased to discover everything else (or almost) was fine after I replaced the cord!

    I needed another dishwasher, right??

    Tom has a great suggestion!

    I needed another dishwasher, right??

It was in the inner door panel on the earlier metal door models like my 1969. Mine also took forever to heat up the water. I tried that feature just once! But eventually it did reach the temperature and the timer resumed.

    Another Doorbell Question

I do have a doorbell transformer beside my circuit breaker panel but I also have one in my attic which is mounted to the attic light's junction box. I don't know what this one is used for but I know that my doorbells are on 24 volts and that burns out the lights in the door bell buttons quickly...

Poppy red Frigidaire stove $150 (Stanley, VA)

Same as the one featured in the Cabin #7 of Kate Pierson's Lazy Meadows in the Catskills. https://www.lazymeadow.com/index.php?page=cabin-suite-7 I just got a similar one recently. The Canadian model I've been searching for a long time along with the matching fridge! (the pictures 2 to 5).

Owning a Home is SO NOT WORTH IT!

I rely on cheap appliances such as very old window a/c units and refrigerators that I usually get for $100 or less (often free!), I don't like when they fail and I tend to spend more on repairs to keep them working than what I originally paid for them but it doesn't happen frequently (I had my...

    Our new kitchen

I really like it Hans! What's the door next to your dishwasher spot under the counter? I have a similar door in my laundry room and could never figure what it was originally used for! I guess the baseboards are a bit newer than the house? I see this style in houses that were built in the...

    POD 8-3-18 FRIGIDAIRE 1-18 AD

They wouldn't have done it with a pair of jeans! Well, with still frames like this I guess they could but in a TV commercial, it would probably have to be longer than 30 seconds! Even after reading this, I had to see the ad twice to notice it wasn't written "Now you don't"!

70s Speed Queen Washer and Dryer set - Jessup, PA - $600

I have the same dryer in white that I got years ago, I wish I could find the matching washer but it hasn't happened yet! I'll have to pass on this set as I can't afford it at the moment!
