Hey Bob…… rate my UK load!

Haha Dave, I don’t mind a bit of teasing at all! Although I’ve got a pretty good bean to cup machine so our coffee is actually always fresh and tasty! There hasn’t been a jar of instant coffee across this threshold for 25 years. The English breakfast is only a Sunday treat but I do love it...

Hey Bob…… rate my UK load!

Dave….. wood is naturally antiseptic, you simply wash it down with hat soapy water, although if I’ve been working near it with raw meat I use a bleach spray. You basically care for it just the same as any countertop. Well spotted with the middle rack, it’s actually the rack from my previous...

Hey Bob…… rate my UK load!

Hey Uncle Dave, thanks! So the countertops are walnut, I love real wood, our house is a couple of hundred years old so natural materials just seem to feel more appropriate to me. They are walnut and we’ve actually only had to refinish them once in 7 years. Also, I don’t like things pristine, I...

Hey Bob…… rate my UK load!

Here’s a typical load for me…..slightly embarrassed at how much glassware the pair of us have used, but hey it’s the weekend! The Ninja pot also has the basket insert below it, both very greasy and crusty from cooking a full English breakfast. All the plastic tubs in the middle basket are loaded...

    UK Creda Spacesaver Dishwasher

Hi Ricky, I’m very jealous of your vintage dishwasher collection!!! I love that particular Kenwood a great deal, I’ve got a few magazine adds for it and I think a service manual for it somewhere. I’d dearly love to get my hands on a Hoover AutoJet too! Thanks for the pictures and info, they’re...

    UK Creda Spacesaver Dishwasher

Foraloysias, I had one briefly in the 90’s, it was fun, and washed well, I was glad to have it at the time. I’d love to find one, just for old time’s sake! I’m sure I could find a use for it. Unlikely to turn up though, I imagine they didn’t sell in great numbers and were more or less...

    UK Creda Spacesaver Dishwasher

I totally agree, my recollection is of the door feeling quite flimsy, and the control panel being pretty tacky and cheap looking. Nevertheless, their uniqueness intrigues me and I’d love to look at the racking and see how much I could creatively load into it….

    UK Creda Spacesaver Dishwasher

That’s it! You’ve found it! I don’t think they were overly popular, despite being an easy way to add a dishwasher to an existing kitchen without much hassle. I only ever saw one installed in a kitchen and I don’t know what the owner thought of it.

    UK Creda Spacesaver Dishwasher

Hi ChesterMike, That’s the Servis dishwasher I had when I first left home. It was fun and did a great job. The Creda was more like a conventional slimline dishwasher, front opening door etc. The big difference was that it was shorter, so rather than sitting on the floor it was installed into...

    UK Creda Spacesaver Dishwasher

Hi Austin, I had one of those pull out dishwashers back in the 90’s, when I was about 20 and renting a house with my brother. I got it at an auction for about £20. It was made by Servis, it was missing its rails so we just stood it on the kitchen floor. I seem to remember being able to get a...

    UK Creda Spacesaver Dishwasher

Hi Guys, especially UK……I’ve been remembering a unique dishwasher from the late 80’s/early 90’s. It was a compact Creda dishwasher and what made it unique was that it was a different format to full-size, slimline and countertop. It was most similar to a slimline, but I’ve a feeling it was 55cm...

Coil Stoves Easier to Clean than Glass Top

We’ve had induction for about 12 years and it is insanely easy to clean!!! Just a microfibre cloth wrung out in warm water. Never even need a cleaning product, even after deep frying, the microfibre and water dies a perfect job in 20-30 seconds. Added to which how fast, stunningly controllable...
