@servischris I really enjoyed those brochures. Never heard of the Cygnet before. I’d love a look in that Swanmaid instruction manual if you have a chance to scan it some time. Lovely bits of UK dishwasher history there.

Great pictures, great machines, I’d certainly love to see them sometime. That’s the exact Miele I had, I loved it and it performed perfectly. I’m glad I’ve taken the plunge after years of lurking!

Hey Al, yes, those are exactly the dishwashers I’m interested in!!!!! I’m pretty sure my Miele was a G550, circa 1975 (same year as me lol!) It was a really good performer, cleaned everything that went into it perfectly.

Maybe it’s a UK/US thing, but it has absolutely never occurred to me to do anything in a power-cut other than wait for the power to come back on. I didn’t realise it could cause problems.

Hey! I don't want to steer you away from health and safety guidelines..... But...... I've had stacked washers and dryers without stacking kits for over 20 years..... Never had a problem, and actually have never even noticed the dryer move at all regardless of spin speed or out of balance spins.
