    Speed Queen purchase

Warranty The other difference in warranty between the TC5 and commercial models, is that the commercial models have a parts only warranty. No labor.

    Speed Queen purchase

I got a new TC5003 one month ago. It has worked very well. It is a little louder than my 35 year old Maytag was, but not by much. Not even sure why that matters, I never do laundry while I'm sleeping. I have found the "bulky/sheets" setting to be my preferred cycle. Uses a little more water...

Speed Queen LWN432SP115TW01, yet another question

BTW, I have the TC5003WN, slightly different machine, but I believe the tub and drive mechanism are the same.

Speed Queen LWN432SP115TW01, yet another question

Indexing Mine indexes a small amount, maybe an inch at most. It's just over three weeks old and done 8 or 9 loads so far. I have read the indexing will stop as the tub brakes wear in. So they are probably not worn in yet.

    New Washer Day this Thursday!

That seems decent Seems like a decent price for the pair, if that was delivered. Our local appliance store had the SQ marked $1329, just like all the online dealers, but were willing to deal. Probably could have got a few bucks off the Maytag or GE's as well with free delivery, but didn't ask...

    New Washer Day this Thursday!

Can I ask where and what you paid for that machine? I got the TC5 for $1150 16 days ago, free delivery, haul away, and extension drain hose from a local appliance store. They had two of those Maytags left, and were clearancing them for $850 + delivery ($100). Cheaper than Home Depot, where you...

Will The TR Series Ever Go Away? Please?

Don't change the subject please! That was my point, nothing to do with Speed Queen. I think you are confused about who changed the subject.

Will The TR Series Ever Go Away? Please?

Indie Just questioning describing indie music as "nice and smooth". Zappa and Punk were probably the originals in indie music. Definitely not nice or smooth. Indie just means independent record label.

Will The TR Series Ever Go Away? Please?

Indie music? Since when is indie music "nice and smooth"? It can be any style of music. Remember Grunge? I don't worry about the TR series, my wife wanted a top loader, so I chose the TC5. No one will force you to get the TR. I've done about 8 loads so far (three weeks old), and I like it...

    New Washer Day this Thursday!

You're kidding...right? "The build quality of appliances, cars, and most consumer electronics has never been higher. Things are extremely well assembled. You have almost no chance of problems with them for several years." I hope that's a joke. Electronics and appliances are nowhere near as...

    Help! Speed Queen TC5003WN questions.

to GE I said I might try the eco cycle (with extra rinse) just to see how it does. When I used it to clean the tub, it took about 25 min, with deep fill, before I did the rinse. I Was very satisfied with the Bulky cycle. Clothes and towels both came out really clean. Took 40 minutes, agitated...

    Help! Speed Queen TC5003WN questions.

Combo52 I wasn't overthinking the hose length at all, until the salesman said it wouldn't work, Speeed Queen said not to do it as well. And no one here, including you, who has sold/worked on over a thousand of them, could verify they had seen it work. Now I KNOW it works. So will others. I...

    Help! Speed Queen TC5003WN questions.

overthinking the drain hose I don't think so. Plastic corrugated hoses are cheap, and they are more prone to crack eventually. Seems an odd choice for a $1479 washer that is supposed to last 25 years. It also connects internally and is routed through the machine. If it gets a pinhole leak in...

    Help! Speed Queen TC5003WN questions.

Good to know, I knew the SQ was 710, had no idea on the Maytag. The Maytag seemed to ramp up as fast, or faster, so I think it was still working fine. Where do you find all this info? I couldn't even find it here. It is kitten approved, she will be 1 year old in a few weeks. She was checking...

    Help! Speed Queen TC5003WN questions.

I also added a couple pieces of rubber I cut off from the unused extension kit hose, to keep that flimsy corrugated hose from rubbing on the cement wall where it touches. At the end off the spin, it starts to wiggle every few seconds, with a slight wooshing sound. Moves about 1/4" to 1/2" back...

    Help! Speed Queen TC5003WN questions.

Delivered. Delivered abour 4 hours ago. It works, and drains just fine. The tub was a bit dusty/grey, I assume from polishing the tub. So I wiped it out with a rag, and ran an empty load on Eco w/deep fill (19 gallons). I chose hot, and the water was hot. I thought Eco only did cold? Then ran a...

    Help! Speed Queen TC5003WN questions.

My Maytag was a real washer. It's pump was driven by a belt. No idea what "having the pump run in reverse during wash pulls settled detergent back into the washtub" means.

    Help! Speed Queen TC5003WN questions.

Have no plans to change it. The hose goes into the standpipe 6 inches. No way 9" was tall enough. I don't have anything to record a video that long with.

    Help! Speed Queen TC5003WN questions.

extended It was extended to meet the 18" above trap height required by code. It was only 9" above the trap. There is a post above about my drainfield that goes into the whole story, but when we got a new drainfoeld, everything had to meet code. I think the previous owners cut it down, because...
