After Gyrafoams suggestion is done, then wash it off after every wash day under the faucet rubbing your hand over it.  Will never happen again.

Hans I have personally had, 1965 Rollermatic, 1978 1-18, and their matching dryers.  Also had non working unimatic with it's matching dryer.  Gave away those.  The Maytag's are still in use today as my daily drivers.  The Frigidaire's have been sold off.   Not that they weren't fun, did not...
